Gary Madine: Interesting fact?

Many a thing you know you'd like to tell Gary
Many a thing he ought to understand
But how do you make him stay
And listen to all you say
How do you keep a wave upon the sand?

How do you solve a problem like Gary?

When I'm with him I'm confused
Out of focus and bemused
And I never know exactly where I am
Unpredictable as weather
He's as flighty as a feather
He's a darling, he's a demon, he's a lamb.

I feel that he'd out pester any pest, drive a hornet from its nest and he could throw a whirling dervish out of whirl
He is wild, he's a riddle, he's a headache, he's been on the losing side in all his 2018-19 appearances and he's not scored a goal for 370 days.

However, I'd like to say a word on Gary's behalf. Gary makes me laugh

I had the one with the MGB engine. The " TC "
I defy anybody to say TC was crap.

TC stood for twin cam.

On the basis that the first cam was shite in the Marina's bastardised A series engine, then two camshafts were worse. Crap in fact .

Nothing to do with the best player I have ever seen in a red and white shirt.

Twin Carb - carburetor. Twin SU's B series engine.

Listen to Tyrone Dobbs......

So sayeth Dobbie the Dobster who hasn't got a clue what a cam is, a block is, or even an A (or B) series engine is!

All about the accounts, eh Sean?

Tut, tut.

Next thing we know this bloody remoaner will be telling us that McCabe is a good thing!

Come the revolution, yer Thorntons, yer Linekers, yer Lilly Allens and all yer liberals will be first up against the wall......

Same as the other Friday?

;)

As we know, Madine moved from Bolton to Cardiff for £6 million last January, and we subsequently signed him, if only on loan.

Have we ever signed a player before who has had such a big financial behind him move before?

James Beattie is the only one I can think of who compares; he went from Southampton to Everton for the same amount before joining us later on.

UTB

If this is correct re: Madine, then it didn’t last long. Hogan went to Villa for £12m. :)

Wouldn't be the first wall Lilly's been up against...…………..

All the old buggers round here (well, older than me) seem to have bought shit brown cars, is it an age thing?

I graduated to a shithouse-door green Escort in 1978, so my place in the old fart hall of fame is assured....

My employers had to have a board meeting to decide on the purchase of a wing mirror, after which my planned request for a Motorola radio was quietly shelved for a year.

Eeee, times were hard, but we were happy..:)

I had an Escort Mark II in Terracotta. Don't make em like that anymore. Who da fuck thought making a car the colour of a plant pot would be marketable?

Bert's first car was a beige Austin 1300. It cost him £550.
It fell to bits 3 years later.

When I was a nipper my neighbours had beige Austin Allegro which must have dated back to the 70s. If Jeremy Corbyn drove a car...

If Corbyn drove a car it would be a 2CV with a CND sticker in it.
