Bear in mind Gareth Southgate inherited a team the took them to the Uefa Cup Final....and left them with a team that was doing decent in the Championship.......I'd say his time was up long before. Our "fans" would have been protesting in the car park long before that!

So where does that leave Blackwell with his amazing win record this season?

McCabe will still judge Blackwell on his OVERALL record for us and take into account the injury problems, and his budget tightening, this season as a possible excuse.
He will get until Christmas and if things don't improve with returning players, then he may make a decision but I'd be amazed if he's thinking that way at the moment.
Ifs and buts etc but if we had lost last night and then lost to Peterbrough I doubt he would have got until Christmas!
