Latest news says Paul Gallager could be in for a long stint at the lane.
Can he deliver in the long run?
Tonights Sheffield StarWhen you say latest news, what's the source for that? Is it on either club's website?
He might be back at Leicester by Sunday, so we'd be wasting our time ansdwering your question

a good, solid Olle post.
as a further point tho, he's a winger. theyre meant to be good one minute and shite the next. even Bale isnt class every game. its a tough position to play and a tough one to make much impact in. certainly deserves another month, see what else he can deliver. now Kitson's hitting form, it shud be easier to make an impact.
Leicester fans think he is shite.
Most football fans think that too
I'm still yet to be convinced by him. He was very average when I saw him at Yeovil, though Collins's goal did come from his corner. At Orient I thought he had a very poor game - by far the worst player we had on the day. He has all the signs of a player that has spent a lot of time as a striker, but has had to try and re-teach himself to play on the wing with limited success. As such, you have a player that is pretty good with the ball in the box, but less effective when crossing the ball.
I've no problem with underperforming players from higher levels joining us, but there is a fairly reasonable general expectation that they will at the very least put in a performance that isn't sub-par for what we expect from your average League 1 player. He obviously had a key goal at Hartlepool to win us the game, but both games I've seen him in I've expected to see a player show their higher league quality and haven't really seen it. We will almost certainly be contributing a large chunk of his wages, which will be probably be considerable given Leicester signed him from the Premiership at a time they were spending a lot of cash.
I personally wouldn't have been that bothered seeing him return, with Chappell or McFadzean given a go (and Flynn switching wings depending on which of them played).
Now watch him go on to have a brilliant month....
I think once again we are going to disagree (although I agree he was rubbish at Orient). At Yeovil he had a decent game. His set pieces were dangerous, he got into dangerous positions (twice forcing their keeper to make saves) and he got an assist (which won the game). He won the game for us at Hartlepool and also set up Blackman's goal at home to Bury. I think that is half decent for someone who was clearly unfit when he came to the club. He even admits on his tweet account to a mate that he is working on improving his fitness.
I got criticised for having too higher expectations after I said we were shit on Saturday, but I think that this could apply to you. We're a poor team in a very average league. Personally I think that it made sense to keep Gallagher. He has done much more than McAllister did out wide. As much as I would like to see some of the kids break through, I think I would sooner see an international player, that has scored once and set up two goals in the 5 games he has played, than an 18 year old that has never played a professional football game in his life.
As a slight tangent, the whole winger/wide position debate is interesting. Is it ok for a winger to be shite for 89 minutes, but then set up the winner? We've had plenty of wingers/wide men in recent years that have been annoymous/inconsistent (Gallagher, Quinn, Willo, Ifill, Cotterill) but then popped up with a goal or set up a goal with a moment of brilliance. Most of these types of players have split opinion.
Pele was always very upstanding.
I really rate Ryan Flynn, he's good on the ball and even though he's not a winger that will beat his man for pace every time, his delivery is usually good and he doesn't half work hard for the team in terms of tracking back aswell.
I think with him and Gallagher on either wing we have players that can hurt teams in this league with their ability. Gallagher hasn't done as much as many expected but it's still early days - more game time should help him. He has another month with 5/6 games to show what he can do, and if it doesn't work out as well as we'd like then we can look at other options for the rest of the season. It's definitely doing no harm to give him another month in my opinion.

Most football fans give the matter no thought whatsoever.
But most fans know who he is and wouldn't have him in their team.
The huge majority of football fans have never heard of him!
The majority of football fans are not stupid and would def heard of him.
