Not that impressive really. People making them out to be some all conquering super team. 7 against an injury ravaged ,abject Luton can't mask their poor recent form. Yes they are a good team but come on, they aint no Man City are they.

Recent form......

To be fair, in that run they've played Bournemouth (promoted in 2nd), Notts Forest (3rd), Luton (6th), Cov and Preston both fairly strong mid table, even Derby are effectively a mid table side. And in the 2 games before that run of 6, they won away from home against playoff contenders (M'brough, and QPR who were contenders at the time).

However I still think we'll beat them on Saturday.

all relative
people been promoting Forest as Real Madrid at their best. but just seen one of the limpest weakest ever displays as they surrendered at Bournemouth without an ounce of fight

not be scared to play them in the play offs after watching such a spineless effort
Didn't see them hit the bar and have a certain penalty ruled out for offside when clearly onside then.

lucky we've had no certain penalties turned down then

how do our fans stick up for opposition but don't see how we are treated
funking amazing

if we'd played like they did tonight our fans would be ripping us to shreds and with good reason

not one shot at goal second half. only surprise was it took bournemouth so long to score
Gutless from a team who needed to win. They got outplayed, outfought. A performance droopier than their manager's face. Poor old scabs, all that way on a Tuesday night and their played fill their pants 🤣🤣

God help our team if we don't make it on Saturday the way you lot are laying into the scabs.

I'm now wondering what's the next best thing after sliced bread became the best thing.
Has there even been anything more best since that? 🤔

And a random duck. Because why not. 🦆

And what was the best thing before sliced bread?!

Sliced mead. Which was probably the inspiration for slicing solids. And some solid bread was probably the nearest thing to hand right after.
You can't beat a slice of mead though.

As the playoffs are the only focus at the weekend now, I assume our match will be televised now. Being on live TV may give Fulham further encouragement to play well... 😑

think preston boro is the one that sticks out

millwalls chance is reliant on 4 results
boro on at least 3
luton on 2

whereas we win its over

Not sure I get you.

Millwall (3) - they win, Luton don't, Boro don't, they're in.

Boro (2) - they win, Luton or we don't. They're in.

Luton (1) - they win, they're in.

Boro is 2 from 3. They need to win, and they need either Luton or us to not win (broadly, they need to win by 2 or more and outscore us to get above us). In the same way, Millwall is 3 from 4; they need to win, they need Boro to not win and they need one of us and Luton to lose although they also need a 6 goal swing to get above us.

Recent form......

I've got that special mix of optimism and terror that only football can bring.

Recent form hasn't been good for Fulham but the recent form is the aberration and the 7-0 isn't even the first of the season for them. They score a lot of goals and they're now a Prem team. We're up against some real quality.

Then I think, fuck it, this is the Championship and Fulham have nowt to play for. Thanks to Luton getting a truly awful result against them Luton are another team drawn into the last day permutations and Fulham have nowt to play for after (hopefully) a week of very heavy celebrations. We did a number on them earlier in the season and in spite of injuries we've got our own qualities.

Just looking at the table, it's a weird one. It feels like there wouldn't be a combination of results on Saturday that would be surprising. The others have "easy" games but we've got pole position.

That's what I'm saying. Boro need 2 results. They don't need 3. What Millwall do is completely academic if they win.

on the plus side piggies away at Sunderland could have sorted out their fate already on friday
we might have a clear view on that front
if sunderland can win 5-0 again then that relieves the possible jeopardy

current form guide is interesting
bournemouth are above millwall last 6 games
prestons out performing boro
we 6th are out performing fulham who are 16th
and lutons only got 1 more point than reading in the last 6

What has the piyags game got to do with anything?
