Fucking rubbish Wilder

The only way I can see this ending as a success is if we build a modern club around Wilder. However, Wilder being the control freak he is makes that a vanishingly small prospect.

I live in hope.

Wilder is a perfect choice to oversee things as we modernise behind the scenes but the Bettis interview didn't suggest the plan was anything other than "hope Chris performs another miracle"

Are you sure about that? Everything that’s gone wrong in the past and everything that’s happened since the new owners came on board is down to him. Err, despite now being Wilders best pal.

I have a lot of time for Bettis. I understand people thinking he's the one constant in all the negative off the pitch shenanigans but we've had two owners in a row who aren't in the city and have left him to do all the communication. I dread to think the amount of plates he has had to spin over these last few years.

If you have to descend to the gutter level of chucking insults around, you could at least spell them correctly.

Given that the title of this thread is you descending to the gutter level of chucking insults around at Wilder, you're in no position to take the moral high ground when you perceive someone else has descended to the gutter level of chucking insults around at you.

Wilder constantly complains about how difficult it is to win in the Championship. My heart bleeds.

About 50% of goals scored in the Premier league yesterday were from set pieces.

From this morning and for the rest of the week start perfecting a number of set pieces that can be implemented against Derby.

Find us some solutions and not problems. It's called leadership.

Where is the insult?

Just a straight forward question.

Of course I knew what the answer would be, and I wasn't disappointed.

Nothing is ever his fault.

Bettis has, and is loving and milking every plate he has spun. In his eyes, the further away the owner's are the better, because he can go into his own little power world, and at the same time knowing there is no-one there to question or challenge his actions.
Regarding morals, don't forget how he sold Kevin McCabe (his previous full time employer) down the river in favour of the tubby saudi man.
The sooner COH Sports get a realism on this will be a massive step forward for Sheffield United FC

On other pages, facts.

As I said in my previous post, the insult is in the title of the thread.
"Fucking rubbish" followed by a name, is obviously an insult to whoever the words "fuckin rubbish" are aimed at, in this case Wilder.

Fucking rubbish tanganga.

Bad day at the office for him. Still think he's the new ebanks blakes. Or jake wright.

We're going to have to score 3 against Derby on Saturday, to cancel out the inevitable goals from Brewster & BB, now Diaz. Chillian International you know.

We need support now. Right now.

It was a comment on the performance and a question to the manager.

You're surely not going to tell me that the second half performance at Preston was anything other than rubbish?

If the manager is responsible for the performance, which he inevitably is in football, (not necessarily fair though), then the manager has to own the performance but Wilder never does, unless it's a good performance of course.

Ebanks-Blake the Wolves centre forward (humorously referred to by some Blades as ‘He bonks blokes’)?!

Do you mean Ebanks-Landell?

Sporting 1 - 0 Zaragoza

El Zaragoza tampoco reacciona con Sellés... ni contra 10

“Zaragoza still don’t react with Selles…and against 10”

Selles off to a losing start in Spain. And playing the whole 2nd half with 11 against Sporting’s 10.
I’m happy cos my team (a resurgent) Sporting Gijón were his first opponents.
But he’s definitely got his hands full there.. Zaragoza’s 3rd manager of the season already.! I’ll keep my eye on how he goes…👀 see if he can transform the fortunes of the currently woeful bottom of the league side in Spain’s second tier.

They should have interviewed him first……..

Several points :

Prior to wilder being re-appointrd, it was stated from the owner's that a DOF would be appointed as well as a new manager. Why has this not happened? Maybe it because of the close relationship between wilder and bettiis who realises that chris wilder does not want a DOF to interfere with his control?
The public comments from Stephen Bettis ( more than once) regarding Mcburnie wanting to join United in the summer and stating that Ruben Selles prevented this, then wilder confirming recently that he thinks Mcburnie should be at the club is in my view criticism of Selles and support for wilder.
Finally, with Bettis stating that he is on the board and has a say on all matter's, it is obvious that, much to my disappointment, wilder will probably have preferential treatment to a manager with no connections? In my opinion, this is not healthy or beneficial to the future of the club, or more importantl, the supporters!
I don't disbelieve Bettis with those comments, however at the time you (the board), have entrusted Selles to manage the football side of the club and if he didn't want him, Selles was entitled to his opinions. McBurnie is injured at the moment (missed 2 and likely to be out of action on Saturday) which could easily have happened if he would have joined a us as it has been reported as a knee injury. However back to Selles, with the lack of creativeness in the side, where would McBurnie fit, he could have played alongside Campbell up top, or as a loan striker similar to the Hull formation but service would have been an issue which wouldn't have guaranteed success.

The DoF I guess depends on what you are trying to achieve in the long term. With our seemingly decent academy, is that more of a priority? You could split the role in a sense, we all know Wilder is a big personality and you wouldn't want a strategic and philosophy hippy type guru trying to affect the ethos of the club. Apparently WIlder has already given his shopping list to santa so although there has been some current duds in recruitment he has also been behind some very good signings too. Could the DoF be a "modern man" looking at the U21's and academy testing the "AI theory" but applying it to bringing in scholars/future potential similar to how we found N'Diaye, whittling players down for WIlder to have at his disposal in the 1st team.

There’s some bloody expert managers on this thread, let’s undermine Wilder again and end up with some clueless twat.
We've reappointed a clueless two hat🙄Otherwise we'd be getting battered weekly in the prem.
"15 minutes away, defend for your lives lads"

Deary me.

He does a great job of undermining himself.

Narrow minds get what they deserve🫣

Wilder isn’t the answer he’s part of the problem … he’s been around long enough now that he has to be…

The fitness levels of our players are shocking and he seems to allow it or at least accept it
Since the Hecky promotion season we've looked way off it physically. Every season we seem to get worse....

Bumpetty bumpetty bump bump bump

I said I'd keep an eye on Selles in Spain 👀...
Looks like it's Out of the chip pan into the fire: Zaragoza, like Sheff United, are a pretty well supported and well recognised club historically in Spain with many years of top flight football. Unlike United they have also played in Europe as recently as 2008.

After yesterday's home defeat the press and fans are turning on the club ownership. Fans stayed outside the ground until the 10th minute.

El descenso a Primera RFEF cada vez es más evidente. Un club sepultado por las nefastas decisiones deportivas de sus propietarios.
"Relegation to the [third tier] looks more and more likely. [Zaragoza is] a club buried by the disastrous sporting decisions made by its owners."
