'Making their 'keeper work' and other such platitudes don't mean much. Beating the 'keeper is how you score goals and they managed it.

How many games have we had recently where we 'haven't deserved' the final result? Birmingham, Bristol City, Villa, maybe we're just not quite as good as we think we are or some of those games might turn into actual wins.

Hate losing games like that. We had all the best chances, their keeper has made half a dozen saves whereas ours has only had to deal with crosses and then they score a fucking worldie out of nowhere in the last fucking minute.

Thought we played well first half and were the better side. Second half the longer it went on the more I could see them scoring. We didn't keep the ball well enough, played long balls a bit too often. For me, second half we crying out for Duffy, a bit of a spark, a bit of class to make something happen. It looked as though last 15-20 mins we'd settled for 0-0, which isn't the Wilder way at all.

Villa weren't better than us. We created chances, but our best ones fell to defenders and their keeper did well.

Problem is, this is occurring too often. We play well, but don't really test the keeper enough, then the opposition attack and score.

The best chance of the night was jack's header right at the start and he really should be scoring. We need to start taking such chances. Teams in this league do have quality players and can create chances that they take, as we saw tonight.

We are missing DB, but was nice to see midfielders having decent shots from outside the area at least and thought we looked good in first half. Personally think the substitutions didn't really help us. Evans especially. Would have left him on.
