Got 6 friendlies before the season starts, but surprised they all away from home. Given how poor our offensive play was last season, thought we'd play a few home friendlies to practice creating / scoring some goals before the likes of Notts County and others park their bus in our half.

Is it purely a cost issue? I was also a bit disappointed not to see any home fixtures but suppose it must cost a pretty penny to get BDTBL up and running for a friendly that only 5/6k people turn up to (obviously attendance can massively fluctuate depending on opposition......)

More likely because the Bramall lane pitch needs a lot of work and as much time as possible to recover from last season.

Surely it makes no difference if a friendly is at home or away to practice creating and scoring goals?
