Player Suggestion Free Transfers

I'll probably get shot down for these suggestions but I'm thick skinned so bring it on. There have been a few players become available on free transfers in the last few days that could make decent signings.

Alexandre Pato - 30 years old and never reached the potential he should have mainly due to a series of bad injuries. But he has always scored goals wherever he has been. Lost a bit of pace but still quick, can beat a man, decent with both feet and better in the air than his height suggests. Said he wants to come back to Europe now his contract is up at São Paulo. Plus its been too long since we had a Brazilian at the club.

Andriya Zivkovic - only 24 and was subject of £30m+ bid from Everton not so long ago. Yes he's a winger but has played more centrally for Benfica and Duffy was a winger til CWAK got there mitts on him. Genuinely two footed and a good crosser of the ball. Another one who hasn't hit the heights his talent promised. I know we don't play with wingers or a number 10 but wilder did say that he toyed with the idea of two 10s before last season so may still be in his plans.

Moussa Sylla - only 20 and was heralded as the next Mbappe. Hasn't reached those heights but still a good player. Quick, skilful and knows where the onion bag is. Just a bit raw but could provide us with the X factor we need to push us to the next level.

Probably way off with these suggestions but stranger things have happened. That and I'm sooo bored

The manger has stated today that he is considering free transfers, so your suggestions should not be shot down.

I personally have never looked into these players before, but it's a good read of your suggestions.

I like blue sky thinking and you said onion bag, always worth a like.
 
Wouldn't knock anybody for throwing names in unless they were just stupid but I hope Mitchell was busy checking out players before lockdown, Sylla of these has a chance in my eyes but I'm just going off his age. Allover Europe there must be hundreds of players finding out they just aren't good enough.

Pato looked so good at Milan, briefly. Forgot he existed.
 
Mate those 3 shouts are some of the best I've seen all preseason.
Sylla would be a gamble but at 20 most players are.
 
We need bodies through the door, give another zivkovic a chance, and a young frenchman can only be good, perhaps he can do a job at rcm.
If their wages doesnt break the bank these are not to be ignored.

Hang on a minute... Zivkovic is on a free transfer?? Honestly not something I expected to read tonight...

One of those players tipped who big things by Football Manager (and how I learnt of him) a few years back... and hasn’t hit the heights he probably suggested he could have. Sounds very much like a wilder signing in that maybe he needs the right conditions and support to kick on.

The sort of gamble Id love to see us go for, especially if he could be adapt to play up top/Didzy role or Duffy role. It’s relatively low risk

I do think we should be paying slightly more than we are but some free agents see it as an opportunity to take the piss as no transfer fee is being paid
 

You never know but think we're more likely to sign Chris Gunter on a free than any of your suggestions! 😄

Hi, Stegosaurus here,

Brentford signed two tasty young players from Oxford--Baptiste and Fosu.

Why we weren't going for them is beyond me. Both will go to the premiership in a couple of years.

Instead we spaffed 23 million up the wall on Brewster, 10 million plus on Ramsdake and 10 million on Lowe-IQ and Bogle.
 
Not a chance.... Maybe if they were called Steve Smith, Andy Baker and Jack Rodwell then we may be interested.
 
It's been mentioned before, but I noticed Jack Whiltshire is looking for a club. You may say there's a reason for that, but he undoubtedly has the talent and on a six month deal till the end of the season on a pay as you play deal, he could fill the deep midfield role perfectly - assuming fit, that's always the issue.
