The 2nd half last night was disappointing I’m sure we’d all agree, but there was still many a lesson that will have been learned, and furthermore those lessons didn’t cost us anything as we have already achieved our goal.
The players (as a team) will be hacked off today I’m sure. Prior to the game it’s safe to assume that motivation levels would have dropped a level, it’s understandable. But the loss will re-motivate because winners hate to lose! Just like in life, if you give someone an inch they will take a yard! You have to be ruthless in the sporting world.
Then there’s the individual performances. There was a lot of positives to take away from Jebbison’s game, as well as one or two things that need attention and improvement. That’s just one example, I’m sure Hecky and his staff made observations on all.
In a more negative spin, last night also highlighted many weaknesses, non more so than our reliance on Ndiaye and how irreplaceable he his for example.
Last night was a free lesson and Hecky is a great student.
