At the supporter's club do at the Lane last night Robinson announced that the club would be paying for coach travel to Southampton as a thank-you to all the fans going. Anybody who has paid already will be refunded.

He didn't make any mention though of paying for petrol for those of us driving down.

Does that include the supporters club coaches then? Or just the "official" travel?

Good night wasn't it, SV?

For god sake, i wouldn't have drove if i knew that

and why is this?

I couldn't imagine travelling with anyone else. I'm quite happy with "my" coach, knowing who I'm travelling with (generally same folk week in week out), knowing that we'll stop off on the way

ah right fair enough, although i dont see a problem with not stopping off if the journey is only 2 hours long

Nah, not it it's a couple of hours, but we generally do just for an hour and grab a pint. Sometimes will stop at a pub for a meal too - they're good fun :)

sam, can usually do that anyway with official coaches, managed it plenty of times before!

Now confirmed

Southampton v Sheffield United
Sunday 4th May
Departs 6.30am prompt

United are rewarding the fans who are travelling to Southampton on Sunday by making their official Away Blade coach travel FREE - although only just over 20 places remain.

The Club wanted to increase the number of coaches going to St Mary's but have been restricted to ten owing to lack of coach availability on the Bank Holiday weekend.

Anyone who has already purchased a coach ticket for the journey - which starts at the Lane at 6.30am - may refund it at the Ticket Office by noon on Saturday.

The Club has only 500 match tickets left to sell of the original allocation of 3,200 for the clash at St Mary's which affects issues at both end of the table.

Peter Griffin has just rung box office though and been told no coach places are available.

yeh, idiot thorpe just bought me a ticket when i said i cant afford transport, now we have to find a way down, what a fool :(

Well we have one spare seat available, but staying over.

I think I heard of another spare seat too, but again their staying over.

He wants me to buy first class train tickets
£116 :o
you can imagine what i said to him

Just got my money back :D however i must say if i'd been to 20+ away games this season id be pretty pissed off as someone who hasnt even been to any blades match this season home or away could also get it for free, like the original offer was free for just the 20+ people

Sorry for double post...

OS says Away Blade coaches are now full
