Blackburn striker Francis Jeffers is thought to be a target for Sheffield United. (The Independent)
This can't be true. We definitely don't need another striker!
"* Blackburn Rovers striker Francis Jeffers is thought to be a serious target for Bryan Robson at Sheffield United. Robson has already spent £4m on James Beattie from Everton this season. Jeffers spent some time on loan at Ipswich Town in March but the club have been unable to make the deal permanent"
hes worth having a stab at![]()
Hey saying you want to stab him is abit far
I would never want to sign this guy with our strikforce
glad we haven't signed the cheating little tosser
If we have signed him, it isn't that bad
All seems a bit stupid though after Letting Maclean go though, his wages were probably half of what Jeffers would be, and Macca would score much more than maclean
Oh well, least we may have signed someone

Sheffield Wednesday are pleased to announce the signing of striker Francis Jeffers from Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee.
The former Everton, Arsenal and Charlton Athletic forward has accrued more than £10m in transfer fees during his career and the 26-year-old will go straight into the squad for the Owls' season opener at Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Previously made the country's highest paid teenager following his prolific form at Everton, Jeffers comes to Hillsborough with a reputation for excellent finishing and should be a major asset to the club in the coming season.
Having signed Jeffers on a permanent contract, Wednesday manager, Brian Laws, said: "I am delighted to have secured a player of Francis Jeffers' calibre here at Hillsborough. Francis has spent most of his career in the Premier League because of the quality that he possesses and I believe he can be a regular scorer with us in the Championship."
