Forte staying at Donny

Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has agreed to extend Jonathan Forte's loan spell at Doncaster until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old striker first arrived at Doncaster in the summer and has played an integral role in Rovers' steady climb up the table, making 35 first-team appearances this season.

"It's good news for us and will benefit Jono with him being settled now," said Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll.

"He brings speed to the front and he his still learning his trade.

"Hopefully when he goes back to United he will be a better player with the experience he gets with us."

If warnock had played him upfront and not on the left wing then maybe he would be in our side already?

Anyway, he's an excellent player.

yer this is doing him some goos now being at a club for a full season instead of coming back to us then not getting match practice for half a season untill were safe or already promoted lke at luton last year

He wouldn't, precisely for the reason that he wasn't strong/built enough. He's now gaining strength and experience with Donny. By all accounts he's been very hot and cold but has been playing well recently. To the delight of Donny fans he's also started tracking back.

i totally agree, i mean i like donny and he seems to well for them, but why has he let him stay but he recalled hurst from chesterfield and he wont even play in the league for us so that must hurt cheasterfield fans hearing this

never seen him play, so i dunno whats he like but from what i seen and heard at donny he seems like a decent player
