When reading what is said about Monty one needs to bear in mind that the A League is roughly league 2 standard.

No matter what the league standard. Read words as 'courage, never stops running, where does he get his energy from, a heart as big as ......' and then try and put those same words alongside our current lot.

Monty and Quinn in midfield seems like an absolute dream team now. Yet even Quinn got slated by many here!

Even if the A League is easier to play in than League Two they're very impressive comments about Monty. Is it possible that he's actually improved parts of his game?

The drugs must be stronger down in Australia.

Monty was a big earner and had to go, plus Doyle took his place.

Quinn was a very frustrating, has it in his locker but those corners that never beat the near post, dear God how many times.

Both were part of a piss poor squad that got us to where we are now.

When I was in Australia, for most of last year, I went to quite a few Central Coast games. Monty played alright but I didn't think he was integral to their team doing playing well. Saying that, they are also currently third bottom of the A-league at minute having lost 5-1 to Melbourne City this morning. Looking through their squad though, there is only him and their left back who are experienced, rest of team are 21/22.

And Tonge, 'not slow'. I never thought he could run very fast?

Tonge with his duck like feet looked fast but he was actually moving rather slowly.
