Was just thinking, it's been hard pre-Wilder to even think about giving our former players any respect when they've returned with their new teams. They've usually been booed or even worse just completely ignored and forgotten about they made that little impact here.
Now with all but confirmed news of Leon going, I know we won't see him again this season if it's Wigan he goes to, but he's one who will certainly come back and get a big round of applause. We will see this more and more as some of the old guard start to leave (and I'm just giving players on the outskirts as suggestions here) like Wright, Freeman, Coutts, Stearman, Moore - they'll come back with applause louder than most of our players received while they were playing for us in League One their impact has been that big and they've given us such good memories in their time here.
And for me that's great and one thing that's been completely consistent throughout Wilder's reign - the feel good factor has almost always been there and we can't say any of the players we've had have given anything less than 100% while on the pitch barring a couple... or one in James Wilson.
Everyone who leaves and returns from the current crop will most likely get a resounding cheer and all involved in that special day at S6 should never buy a drink in Sheffield again. What's happening right now is very special indeed and every last body at the club is playing their part, including the two petulant school children at the top who have, provided we have no Sheffield United esque shocks towards deadline day, backed Chris to get his targets this window and last.
