I'd got one next to me. Chap in his fifties. Clocked him when he started chatting to me and I said I was surprised Forest weren't trying to do a number on Doyle to get him sent off when it all got a bit scrappy.

"Why?" asks he.

Erm... he's just come back from a sending off for retaliation off the ball.

"Oh".

He constantly referred to Reid as "Reidy". I made sure that every time I referred to Davies that I preceded his name with the words "that horrible twat".

He managed not to celebrate their goal and left at our second with a friendly smile.

There was a Forest supporting family from Sutton in Ashfield that I spoke to before the game near the steps to Gangway H in the South Stand. The mother catches the same train as me on the way to work (I think she works for NHS somewhere in Sheffield city centre). I was surprised to see her at the match as I hadnt realised she follows football. She introduced me to her husband and her son. Told them that I wouldnt advise them to cheer when Forest score!
