I understand, as I said, your frustration and that of others. On the other hand, we can't blame United that Blackstock won't come or that Brighton insist on a replacement before letting COG go, can we? NC knows full well we need a striker. He's obviously trying hard and it's not particularly helpful for cynics to suggest that he isn't or even, ludicrously, to hint that the interest in the named strikers is somehow being made up. Furthermore, it would be bad management, and de-motivate the likes of Higgy and McNutty, to say publicly "we are absolutely desperate" wouldn't it?
My own view is that COG is well worth waiting for. But for now, we're not doing too badly without a headline striker are we? That's not to say I don't fully agree that we need one!
