Another non starter then.

So loan signings remain at 1 despite the talk of being in talks with 3 or 4 strikers.

Why do you say "talk of being in talks"? It's pretty obvious we've made serious offers for Davies, COG and Blackstock isn't it? I can understand cynicism but denying an obvious truth is different.

Nigel wants COG. A great choice in my view. Brighton won't let him go just yet. What do you want the club to do? Kidnap a player at gunpoint? Sign any old shite just to say "we've got a striker"?

These petulant outbursts (not aimed at you specifically) are becoming a little tiresome aren't they?

"Like a wheel a within a wheel" etc...did Nigel ever really want Blackstock?

It's that we seem to failing to land a lot of targets lately and echo's the last week on transfer window.

It's frustrating, I'd rather the club announce a signing once the deal is done rather than say why are in discussions with COG, Blackstock etc. Every other weekend we have been expecting to unveil a new signing for nothing to happen.

We can't sign an ex-con, we can't sign someone who is out of favour at Brighton, we can't sign someone who is injury prone and out favour at Forest.

Who the hell can we sign? We look completely incompetent.

I understand, as I said, your frustration and that of others. On the other hand, we can't blame United that Blackstock won't come or that Brighton insist on a replacement before letting COG go, can we? NC knows full well we need a striker. He's obviously trying hard and it's not particularly helpful for cynics to suggest that he isn't or even, ludicrously, to hint that the interest in the named strikers is somehow being made up. Furthermore, it would be bad management, and de-motivate the likes of Higgy and McNutty, to say publicly "we are absolutely desperate" wouldn't it?

My own view is that COG is well worth waiting for. But for now, we're not doing too badly without a headline striker are we? That's not to say I don't fully agree that we need one!

It's the deals falling through in succession that annoys me most.

Is that just bad luck or poor planning on our part?

would signing another porter or the like satisfy you because if clough cant get the kind of striker he wants it sounds to me as though anybody will do!no thanks i would rather wait for the right one clough will get his man, in the meantime lets enjoy the lovely foofball we are playing not enough goals i grant you but the results in the main are good.
i would think clough wants to sign a striker as much as we all do but lets get one that will make the difference not any
old shite

I understand it has to be the right striker but I am annoyed at the way we have gone about getting a striker.

Is Hatchet any good?

I have been cynical about this signing strikers on loan business but at least the announcement from Forest has shown that we have been looking and not just talking about it, so I'll accept that I was wrong.

Still fancy us trying to sign the lad from Northampton, Ivan Toney, convinced this lad has a big future.

It's also entirely possible that the whole Evans shit storm has played a part in the lack of an outcome in this department. The stigma surrounding it could have had a major influence on players decisions to accept a move or not. The players will have wives or girlfriends that will no doubt voice their own opinion. It's never just a binary option - there are always shades of grey.

Could've been ITK on this as one of my friends dated Dexter for a while after "meeting" him on Tinder!

What about when he comes out and slags McNulty off publicly,is that not bad management and de-motivational? Not a bad post overall mate but i can't agree with this way of thinking.
