Why is the club so reluctant to have either?

Someone on BM posted a list of all the managers under KM and they are all British and almost all known for being committed hard-working or no-thrills players.

It would be nice to see something a bit different at the Lane.

I've said previously that Clough should have at least until the end of the season, so I'm not calling for him to be replaced. I'd like our next manager to be someone slightly different and the club to actually look to use foreign transfer markets. God knows I'm chairman has spent enough money building business links around the world.

Woah...woah we have a Belgian player.

Surely that is enough? :)

Not sure about a foreign manager, but I've always thought that our scouting and recruiting of foreign payers is poor.
We've had a few decent Scandinavian players, but not much from the rest of Europe, Africa or South America (Sabella/Verde apart) - when we do sign foreign players, it tends to be from other English clubs.
I thought McCabe's foreign links might lead somewhere, but they just seemed to be used to offload players we didn't want.
