How I would describe our performances so far this season.

The irony is the Prince is ambitious and wanted instant promotion
So naturally he wanted to appoint "the best" manager, with a track record of success playing good attractive football. Hence we appoint Slavisa Jokanovic
It didn't work out but (unlike others in our fanbase) I never criticised the Prince because on paper it was a great appointment.

The other irony is that after sacking Slav and all his backroom team costing us loads in compensation.
The Prince then went for the cheap and safer option with Paul Heckingbottam. Going for someone from within who knows the club, so can offer stabilisation.

Hecky's appointment reminded me of the Kevin Blackwell appointment.
Blackie reverted back to the Warnock style and instantly saw better results leading to the play-offs
and Hecky reverted back to the Wilder style and also instantly saw better results leading to the play-offs.

Agree...we look really good so far.
Think last season we were still on a downer....a hangover from losing our PL status.
Also the Championship is a very different style of football and it took a while for the players and the fans to adjust.
This season the whole club seem to realise this is the season we MUST regain promotion back to the PL.....everyone seems so focused.

That was a bizarre press conference! Also odd how that plan hasn’t really come to fruition - we have signed players (while also bringing u23 players through)
