Hey fellow fans!

Great news for you all. The Football League has launched the Official Clubs’ Android App for the 2011/12 season, allowing everyone to keep in touch with their team wherever they are and whatever they are doing. The app is free to download but you also have the option to pay a bit extra to get loads of extra content including match highlights and player interviews.

This is the Official app for The Football League, so if you don’t have it yet, follow this link to the Android Market and download now!

Will this work on my Sagem MC 3000? It's got downloadable monophonic ring tones so it should do, shouldn't it?

You know how we get aggressively chased and threatened with plenty of in court action if we so much as mention any fixtures without paying thousands of pounds for the pleasure of advertising your product? should we be charging you advertising rates for this? or is that a different department/agency? ;)

if its official maybe FL should pay a sponsership fee for the site foxy :)

......for those mugs who like paying three times as much for the same thing. Next thing people will be paying £300 for a tyre.

:D

Ah alco, it's all about the quality ;)

I have an android phone for work - its shite. Very unreliable and really shite to use. Had 3 batteries and theyve all burnt up when I try and use the functions on the phone...

I still run a 3GS iPhone (waiting for the iPhone 5, instead of upgrading to 4) and it's brilliant. 2 years old, same battery, itll last more than a day without charge and has some excellent functions.

Oh and I get good use out of my excellent tyres until some twat slashes em :)

Is this app going to be as crap as the OS then? is it just some cacky PTV clone with very little info and just shed loads of ads? Anyone tried it yet or can recommend any other good ones?

Having had a quick look it turns out it wont let you support the scum or wet sham, maybe it will be ok afterall

It's all about Apple for me as well.

Got an Iphone 4, and before that had a Iphone 3G, and been impressed with both of them and enjoyed using them.

As for the app, i've downloaded it, and its nothing special. There are better free apps for football that pile of turd.

I went with Android just because its less than half the price, got a brand new upto date one for £12.50 a month with 500MB 500 txt and 100 mins, same kind of package on Iphone was about £35. Im still refusing to give that Steve jobs any of my cash.

Any of those apps you on about work on Android Brownie?

I'm on Android for the value too - sim free o2 contract for £14.40 a month including unlimited web bolt-on.

Until I got my Xperia X10 updated to Android 2.3 I'd have to admit that my other half's iPhone 4 was a better phone but Android 2.3 is pretty slick. Either way, I'm not going back.

Will it allow us to listen to matchday commentary?

I had a decent Android phone until recently, but it wouldn't play the commentary as it is Flash-based.

Fortunately I don't have a clue what everyone is talking about, so I can carry on with my life without a care in the world....
