Yes, we've asked for interviews with both multiple times and will continue to do so.
Do us a favour and persist. Club comms is non-existant. If Bettis won't talk to you ask him why. Ask why there has been virtually no communication from the new owners and no interviews. Ask him if they have given up on any in-depth communication between the owners and the fans. Ask him if that is not important any more.

All previous owners have spoken at length to the local media and given interviews. Why are they ignoring repeated requests from R Sheff and the Star?

As noted earlier:

1. It wasn't a Blade, it was a Barnsley fan

2. There was a stark difference between the two calls. The Owl followed a United caller who called Ruben Selles "a sausage" and he basically started his call by responding, "he isn't a sausage, he's the only thing making being a Wednesday fan tolerable at the moment." He was then asked to talk about his own club, which he did. The Barnsley fan spoke at length about the Reds and then right at the end said he wanted to praise Chansiri and would be celebrating when Wednesday go out of business. There was no humour attached.

Let's at least be fair here.
Who does staton support..come on spill..stop fuckin hiding rob.

Surely their commitment to AI ensures they are commited to validatory data, so the more intelligent comments they can feed into their models the more accurate the outcomes will be in guiding their investment. Therefore, the reason for the Selles mis-step is the weak inteligence they garnered, hence the need to communicate with the key actors in the business they are investing in is paramount.

Well, the Barnsley fan made a fair point.

This is not Italy, where most people support Juve or the Milan clubs as a "second team". The fans of the other 5 local clubs don't like Wednesday (the same is likely true of United). Short of promotion to the EPL or winning a cup, the best thing that could happen to United, and the others to a lesser extent, would be Wednesday disappearing from the league, and having to start again in the NCEL or whatever. United would be the only league club in the city for a minimum of 6 seasons. That would be brilliant for us in a financial sense.

There is humour in that if you aren't a Wednesdayite, but it's also a sound serious point. I can understand by Wednesday fans won't want to hear it, or talk about it, and I don't think it is likely, but there it is.

My understanding is that Rotherham fans in particular are enjoying what it happening given that Wednesday fans were especially cruel to them during their financial troubles. What goes around comes around I suppose.

I’d rather have hot shit poured into my ears than listen to that doughnut
Nick Jansky will do that for you but I’ll warn you now - his charges are going through the roof .

I remember a time when you’d get excellent quality doughnut with choice of filling and piping hot shit 💩 , poured at your choice of speed - all he charged was a book of Luncheon Vouchers and a go on your bike .

These days -wow - stale and not even tepid , and he wants payment upfront -

He’ll look after me. I have leverage…

Do they still allow Moorhouse on regularly?
Ringing FH and outing himself as a pork supporting violent criminal was the first rung on Pissmore Owl’s ladder to a celebrity career, he has the time to devote to it since his well earned retirement. He’s moved on to bigger and better things now with his own Tik Tok and Instagram channels, essential for his tilt at wearing the Mayoral chain (democratically elected of course, not because he’s half inched it from the town hall).

No idea mate I just read what gets put on here.

The idea of joining twitter to follow him sounds like going down a rabbit hole of a mental hospital for rabbits

I listened yesterday to the hour special broadcast on Sunday evening.
Rob Staton came across as very evenhanded and made some good points.
He may well be a wednesdayite but I actually think he's a good sports journalist. He may get a little over zealous when covering the situation at Hillsborough but I can forgive him that, I'd be the same in his position and suffering the same at Bramall Lane.

I don't get the hate on here towards him but then again, no surprise these days....

For me the problem is they've lost perspective. As hosts they aren't there to argue their opinions, they are their to play devil's advocate to whoever calls in.

If they think, for example, that bringing Wilder back is a good idea, they should challenge a caller who rings up saying it's great Wilder is back as much as one who rings in saying it's a bad idea.

I don't think they are biased towards a particular team, I think they are biased towards their own opinions.

I bet staton didn't call the 1st caller back to find out where he got his info re wilder because he wouldn't want to admit his info was wrong

I dont think they have enough callers to not air their opinions, which is fair enough. It's the same half dozen callers every night. However station couldn't handle a bit of criticism last night, proper threw his dummy out.

That's a very valid point, I guess the have to fill the time with something, and yes he got owned last night.

Nobody was cut off.

We often respond to scrutiny, and have always been happy to answer questions on here.

Contrary to what many believe, the presenters are not fans. They simply don't live in that world. They've chosen careers that mean that just isn't a part of their life. I know some people can never accept that, but it's the truth.

Anyway, here's a direct link to the Blades special from today:

Nobody was cut off 😂😂😂😂
So why after Rob had his response did you move to the next caller? I suppose he hung up eh?

Showed him up big style and in usual staton style when he got proven wrong cut him off

It was pretty embarrassing last night. All Rob Staton had to say was 'my sources didn't support that theory at the time, but accept that others may have had better info' (which they clearly had).

The caller tried to explain that a couple of times but wasn't given the opportunity and was just spoken over. It was pretty rude actually.

It seems to be a recurring theme on FH that if you disagree with the presenter, you are spoken to in a condescending manner and / or are talked over and have your call ended.

Match commentary is really good from ALL the presenters in my humble opinion but the call ins are often ego driven which is why I rarely listen anymore (which I guess is the easy answer if you don’t like it!).

Same here. Just listened to it. I thought it was a decent show, good callers, well presented. Some people do seem to get their knickers in a twist over very little these days.

So why is Staton blubbering on about Chansiri constantly.
If he chose to be a journalist why did he never question the sponsorships by loss-making companies?
