Pulis the Championship Mourinho style wise. No wonder Boro fans want him gone despite their position.

Saying that, I thought we beat them at their own game second half going more direct to Madine, but with good football in the last third.

How shit are they to watch. They make Bolton look like Barcelona. Pulis is a horrendous manager, and to think he had the cheek to complain about our goal! C*nt

What is Pulis on about regards the referee? The free-kick which led to our goal wasn’t a free-kick and Stearman was all over their man - 2 decisions cost them that goal. He says.

The foul on Madine at the far post conveniently ignored. Bell end

Pulis what a cunt that man must be. End of

Get the fuck in.

Imagine spending as much money as them and playing those tactics. Absolute embarrassment is Pulis, so glad we won and it was deserved.

Quick observations. Dowell is quality. Clean sheet with basically all the back 5 new in or out of position from the 43rd minute.

Madine makes a big difference and will prove to be a great signing.

Sharp was fucking quality. His touch and link up play tonight was brilliant - showed why he offers more than just goals.

Important that we held on in a tight game after Friday. That will be a distant memory now. Get in.

Wise words and positive sentiments as always BP.

Well we went more direct but we didn’t lump it up there in an attempt to just win long throws and corners, we competed won the second balls in the second half, particularly Mcgoldrick, but then we got it down and played once it was up in their half.

Two completely different mind sets.

As we’ve agreed before, you can have a big centre-forward and still play proper football. You need talented and brave players who have strength of character not to simply take the easy hoof option, but it certainly can be done. Make the centre-forward favourite by intelligent delivery at a good pace and height, so he can hold and bring others into the game; don’t just launch it in his general direction, sky-high hoping for the best.

Of course the big fella has to be a footballer rather than a useless lump, but if he is, it’s the philosophy that’s crucial, not the player. He can be made to look hugely impressive or a clown.

Madine, happily, can play. He dovetails nicely with Billy too, as we’ve seen developing already.

Apparently, John Fleck's card might have been a red. That ignores the fact that the reason he was stretching was because he'd been fouled and in fact although Flecky got a yellow, it was our free kick.

I'm surprised Pulis can see anything at all, through his one eye.

Best three points of the season for me.

Had to bounce back from a real shock at Villa Park, enforced changes pre game and in the first half. Up against a hugely expensive squad and the king of anti football ready to destroy our proper stylish play. Brilliant to get three points out of it.

It does seem funny how so many people would be so upset to have Pulis as our manger. Can't even count the number of arguments I had on here (and other similar places) when I used to suggest that winning wasn't everything when our own King of Hoof ended my away days and Season Ticket holding with his dire football. Long may our current attitude prevail.

This is boro who have one of the best away records???

Full credit for that to the Blades. It was in many ways a perfect match for us. Coming after a disappointing collapse at Villa, how would we respond - especially without Basham & Jack? Fucking marvellously, that's how! CW got his selection and tactics spot on. A solid first half - did you notice how many times our players cushioned headers to a team-mate whereas 'boro's set of Lurchs in defence were just happy to get a head/boot/anything to the ball and propel it forward?

Second half, the pressure just grew and grew. After Billy's goal was ruled out, United just kept turning the screw and, near the end, 'boro's heads had dropped. Everything about last night was thoroughly professional - from switching Duffy for Madine right at the start of the second half, thus giving 'boro no time to 'set up', to Chris racing halfway down the line to retrieve the ball through to Billy grabbing and screwing up Friend's 'note'.

Fabulous committment and organisation, Blades. Simply not reflected in the scoreline or the sour crap that Pulis came out with.

Regardless of today's date, God I love this club and how Chris has returned it to it's rightful owners.

Modern, forward-thinking football beats ancientl anti-football. Love it.

Say...just out of interest...who's the next football dinosaur on the horizon?

Anyway, I've thought of a great way to make a few quid off the smoggies.
