Flynn = Brayford

The way Flynn played today just reminded me of Brayford. What a bonus if he can do that in the league.
Lots have pointed out before what a good defender Flynn is. With Davies coming back we have a squad with loads of options.

Genuinely exciting position for him - now just 2 up front!!

Flynn had a good game and you could see that he adds more composure and more sensible passing than Alcock. But we should wait a bit longer before deciding it's the right position for him. Plymouth's left winger Kellett is normally a left back and there will obviously be tougher games to play in.

Lowton may be a better comparison than Brayford?

Maybe he can get a fake one.

Flynn is such a good footballer in so many ways, but I worry that his physique and pace will hold him back at full back as much as it does on the wing. But when we're playing at home against opponents with little threat down the flanks, he and Davies are better options than Alcock.

He's definitely one for the FA Cup.
Pleased for the lad as he is an honest player and has some good skills. Gets a pasting from NC at times, I heard. Hard to fathom as he always seems to me to be a player that would respond to positive reinforcement as opposed to a reight bollocking

I have met Mr Flynn. He is so slight of frame, but that seems to be the case with many footballers. Flynn must only weight ten stones.

Offer's more going forward but not too sure about defensively against better players...they were poor today.
Maybe we'll find out.

Less than that - 9 and a half stone !

Thought he had another good game today.

So far he has been a revelation in the role, however one thought of caution is let's see what's happens when an opposing side sets out to attack us from the off.

If Flynn performs as well at Fleetwood and home to Southampton has he has in the last two games then we may well have lucked into a real bonus.

Absolutely right MTG, surely it's about attitude and mindset? I can recall several players of supposedly diminutive build who could handle themselves as well as make a decent contribution to their team's performance. Only time will tell, but if Flynn continues with the same application and focus we could have found a fullback that we've been missing.

None at all, I was just making the point that footballers, although generally percieved as quite muscular, can be very slight of build and weigh much less than the average man.
