When they broke clear around five minutes before halftime I though Vydra was going to score until flecky came from nowhere with that challenge, that moment summed up what this new spirit is about, we were on top, passing it around but fleck ran and ran back and put in a superb tackle, the cheer was almost like we had scored.these moments keep coming back the more I am talking about the game, going to be a bit fuckin merry soon.

Not often you see a standing ovation from the whole ground for a tackle

If Cahill had done a world-class challenge like that after running back 60 yards, Lineker would have tossed himself off. But - like others have said - it sums up our spirit under CW.

And what about his chance at the end?

I was gutted when that didn't go in, it would've summed him up to a tee - box to box with quality.

He skillfully broke away deep in his own half, played it to Sharp and despite being the 93rd minute he carried on his run into their penalty area.

Couldn’t quite believe when he made that tackle. Unbelievable.

I think the last time I saw a tackle that good at the lane, we were in this division!

He was doing it throughout tracking back and getting tackles in...immense.

Last time i saw a tackle like that was when Freeman got sent off and brought back on against Brentford UTB

He bloody loves a slide tackle doesn't he, sometimes goes to slide in, 10 yards away from the ball he's already on the ground and still makes the tackle.

He's picked up big time in the last two after a shaky start.

I'm chuffed for him.

Pure and simple....his obvious quality and ability was always going to shine through in the end.
I'm convinced it was just early season fitness and sharpness that he needed. Never any doubt for me that he is more than able at this and the next level.
If you look at it, the mifpdfield pairing of him and Coutts is the best I can remember. And I'm including the Bassett years and Warnocks promotion team. Those two could be the midfield for the next few years all being well and see us into the premier league.

Coutts is getting most of the plaudits and he is indeed playing extremely well but my man is Flecky. He's got the lot, first touch, vision, passing, movement, he's the most vocal of the three during games, he reads play very well and best of all, he does love a tackle. When he covered back and made that fabulous tackle in the second half, the whole Kop seemed to rise as one and applaud, if he had cocked that up we could well have lost that game. He needs own name check from the crowd - I quite like Queen theme tune from Flash Gordon

Fleck a-ah
King of the impossible

The first time they came together was the Chesterfield away game ( 4-1 ) the 2ND half performance was excellent and they have been running matches ever since.
They both can play the deep roll and fleck is a real box to box player.
He made a slow start last season but seems to be finding his best form earlier this term.
Would n t be surprised if they got called up to the Scottish squad if they maintain there level of consistency, they comment each other so well .would be great if they could score more often ,that's the only weakness I can find in them.
