Good to see Fleck being called up to the Scotland squad again. Would be good for him to get some game time this time round and you'd think with games v Kazakhstan and San Marino, he's got a fair chance, especially with both Cairney and Kev Mac being unavailable.

Surprised to see our old friend McNulty getting a call-up. Didn't even know he was on loan at Hibs. Howver they must be scraping the barrel if both him and Piggy Palmer have been called up.

Well, that's his performances, for us, dropping off a cliff until the end of the season then ;)

Freeman not in the Wales squad, yet Washington called up for NI, despite not even getting on our bench now!

The sweaties have been scraping the barrel for decades.

If you have a Scottish nannan and can kick a football, that's good enough for them.

Mark McNulty, international footballer. My oh my.

This kind of makes a mockery of Scotland’s decisions for international recognition. They’ve accepted Fleck reluctantly at last despite being an established Championship player, and rewarded McNulty despite being abject at this level and doing nothing more than putting in a decent run in a league where in recent times Anthony Stokes was considered a top striker.

Personally, I'd be happy for none of our players to get called up and risk getting injured.

Suppose that's the price you pay for having players that are good enough

Scottish footballers are favourably looked upon if they play in a shite league.

If people weren’t so intent on avoiding “that pig rag The Star”, they’d have known about the reasons for Norwood’s absence from the squad a good few hours ago.

And rightly so.

Form is temporary. Class is permanent.

John Fleck is class. Make no mistake.

Well done Flecky :).

UTB

It's not bad Dronnie, but I think you would have been better with......

John Fleck is class. Like a star in the firmament .

Good news he's been pants for a month after each call up

It was a bit of a conundrum for me this. I wanted him to get the recognition, however playing for a shit team with a bunch of terrible footballers and losing against 3rd world countries isn’t good for him or us.

I'm glad in a way because it means I don't have to watch Scotland play football.

At least ROI are half decent when I watch Egan, Stevens and Didzy. Scotland are embarrassing and don't realise they've got one of their best players rotting on the bench.

I’m expecting better from Clarke. They’ve still got enough decent players to achieve a lot more than they have recently.
