Five points from three very difficult looking games.

Well done Nigel! I would deffo have taken that a month ago, I thought there was a real chance of losing all three.

Clough is getting there with the dross and low morale Weir left behind, now back him in the transfer market and let's start climbing the table.

It's a very good point, bound to be slightly disappointed at losing the lead but would have readily taken it before kick-off.

Well done Nigel, team and especially vociferous 1200 fans - brilliant.

They're only difficult games if you're shit - which we are. That we might be making the transition from "shit" to merely "poor" is nothing to be happy about, and I refuse to be so.

yes because shit teams become brilliant over night all the time , give the guy a break , you sound like knee jerk brian the blades , dont beat walsall sack clough , what a div

we have been suffering from a cancer , we are undergoing chemo and hopefully going into remission , please allow for convalesence , dont upset the patient

in other words lets learn to walk , then we go on a run

As others say, it's very early days in Cloughs tenure, but at least the rot is drying out and a corner is beginning to be negotiated. A little surgery in Jan and a course might be set to climb the table

I'm happy with Clough. As others have said he's making the most of what he's got, which isn't much. For any team to come away from Orient with a point this season is a good result, they're top of the league after all. I expected us to draw with Walsall, and lose today. Very happy we picked up that point. Look at all those teams on similar points above us. Another win or 2 and we're right up in that mixer. Get a few good performances together and we'll be top half of the table soon. I'm generally optimistic as a football fan but surely only good stuff can be taken from today.

Totally agree, I didn't expect even a point today. That was probably the best I could even dream we could get. To my mind NC has come in and in a short time has given the same players who before he arrived were garbage and destined for Div 4 a will to compete and a confidence that Weir sucked out of them (sorry pervy blade that was your line :)). Early days I know but I really am becoming confident that at long last we have made the first right appointment since Warnock.

So you think Clough should have turned the players around into a set of players that are match fit, understanding each other & generally firing on all cylinders in just over a month?

In the real world most would consider the last few performances and results to represent credible improvement.

I was disappointed haven taken the lead to settle for a draw, but this is a great result.

I think Clough has/will save us from the dirge Weir served up. His dad would be proud.

So you didn't enjoy Porterfield's first season?

When is the measure at which we will be "good" and you might allow yourself a smile?

Now hoping Nigel can sort out the home form. For every good result we have away, we negate with the next home game. Come on now boys, lets start showing a bit of confidence at the Lane.

Your missus can't cook. Everything she touches tastes like shit. One day she discovers that scraping the black bits off burnt toast makes it look halfway decent. This is not cause for celebration. You're still married to someone who can't cook.

But at least there is a tangible effort to make it more edible. Therefore you can be optimistic that she has identified the problem and in future she can take it out the toaster sooner.

We ditched the missus who couldn't cook and shacked up with Nigella Lawson (or equally attractive female chef without a drug addiction)

If I was the said missus I would tell him to cook his own fucking food if he thinks my cooking is shit.

I prefer this sort of steady start from Clough to a classic honeymoon period at the start which is rarely sustainable. If we keep gradually building we could get mid table this season and who knows what could happen next year...

Realistic and steady improvement is exactly what this club needs right now.
