I think I saw somewhere that most of the first team are on about £4 - 6,000 a week with Billy possibly on £10,000 a week, does that sound about right?

I believe Brayford was also on about £10,000 a week.

I'd be interested to know what our wage 'limit' might be now we're back in the Championship. You would assume that there would be an increase in the wage budget.

Anyone ITK, know any different?

I'm interested to know what percentage the promotion wage increases are, if anyone knows?

Was told it is 25%

Sounds about right. Sensible to incentivise contracts in such a way when we were in L1.

So if we say the average wage is 6k then we'll be spending on average another 1.5k per week per player, up to 30k p/w in total. Not too bad really.

I'm sure they had other bonuses we'll have to pay though.

if we were wendy fans all our players would be on 25 to 50 k a week and half a million a goal bonus
and wed have paid 8 million for Enda

Talking of goals I'm convinced that Billy will get more goals than bottler Rhodes next season. Fucking hell, wouldn't that be ace. I won't bare my arse on the town hall steps if he doesn't though as it's not a pretty sight.

I couldn't care less who scores our goals as long as we score enough to achieve next seasons aims.
Would PML if Cheddington Chedstar of Chedderville bagged a bagful mind.:)
:)

Talking of Brayford, WTF is happening there? Seems to be being left in limbo.
Unless Burton or someone else makes an offer, he'll be coming back. I would presume his wage might now comfortably fit into the structure, but the main point is whether he wants to stay or not.

When Wilder arrived, he was one of the players being built up as one of the ones that we count on, so it's not inconceivable that he could end up being a first teamer again. We've not brought in or been linked with any other players in that position and I'd think Wilder would at least want options if Freeman was out or just for competition.

He's already done this for the left side by bringing Enda in.

I guess it will all get sorted out when everyone returns from holidays.

Not this season(just over) but last which a lot of players will still be getting the same wages, apparently there was a shortfall between income and expenditure of 16 million , what's that work out at? Roughly 320k/week f i h!
I like this interview shows Staton asking the hard questions and McCabe getting a bit upset about it!

So KM confirmed that this "game changing" investment would be when we get in to the Championship so we've signed 4 players for not much money albeit I think they are good players - but can we expect something special that will give us a real chance of getting into contention for another promotion or maybe its a see how we go till Christmas and if we have a chance we will spend to push on ?

I personally think wilder as the backing of the prince and McCabe but he is doing what he did last year buying sensibly with in a certain frame and making sure they fit a mould he as out lined, not sure we will see a 2 /3 Million deal done, not this year could be wrong but Wilder seems to not have that approach seems to fit to what he thinks is value for money for the club and the player, I am happy with who we have signed and happy if we can build over the next few years while we cement our self's back into the championship, with a few good cup runs as well, I think that would be the most logical way to do it.

I trust CW knows what he is doing. No big money signings and a decent wage structure.

There is no right or wrong way of how to spend the money to get out of the Championship ( The Udders and The Pigs differing approach springs to mind )

That said i prefer our approach where the club will always be on a sound financial foundation, the supporters are not taken up the arse with hiked up ticket prices and there is a passion about the players we have and sign.

Guess todays signing answers your quandry.

We went down this arse exposure last season let's not go there again :D

I bet Chris Basham is on a good wage. Came to us on a free transfer I believe? Got to be one of highest earners.

Top 3 earners in my opinion.

Sharp
Brayford
Basham

In think CW will give him a go, he will have had him well watched and pretty much know what he is capable of in the championship we need cover at c/b if we play a 3 so for me keep him

Sounds a bit radical this but re-Brayford I've got a theory. He's only going to play if we go with a back four, i.e. with a "traditional" full back. Stick with last years formation he probably won't as the new signing is the competition for Freeman's place. I don't think he can cut it as CB as he's not big enough or strong enough. So where does this leave us. I reckon CW's cunning plan is to slot him into the defensive midfield role instead of or as competition for Basham. It's exactly where we need strengthening and I reckon he'd thrive in that role. Either that or he's on his way, which would be a loss of quality and a shame.

Kevin, Kevin knock him out! I should think K. Mac. does get a bit upset. Over the years, he's kept this club afloat. True, his judgement on managers has been a bit suspect, but that goes for every club in footballl, from Man. U and Man. City down. Staton is a cunt who would do better to grill Chancer or Carlos the Jackass as to why they've blown fortunes, expected the fans to pick up the tab and are further back than the season before. Mr. McCabe has finally got it right, while keeping ticket prices very affordable and providing entertaining football. We haven't had a £20m 'loan' written off by the Co-op.

At least they are painting the bloody eyesore

Did they ask the fans to provide the paint and brushes like the other year? Cheeky cunts.

What, when we're trying to sign Leonard for that exact role?

Wilder's only plan with Brayford is to move him on.

Think that's going to be hard as he's due to have an operation if he hasn't had it already.

That's just fantastic if so. As if he hasn't cost us enough money already.

But we've only got ourselves to blame.

I never knew about that.

How tempting it would be to go down and help. Hours of honest graft while singing 'Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go......'.

Red paint, of course!
