They've got absolutely no bollocks whatsoever, that's the reason.

Every week they seem to pray for an excuse to collapse and sack yet another match off.

Statistics eh? They don't tell the whole story? Ummm.....well, to answer my own questions...proof and they sure can

Gus looked cooked after 10 minutes. He did well to keep going but surely someone at the club should say ‘ Gus unless you lose 2 stone we aren’t paying you,’ Its insane that he’s allowed to be such a fat bastard. And don’t get me wrong he’s my favourite player.

Yes, I couldnt work that out!

The table will likely not have points deductions baked in (what are they going to do, go -9 for the first half and -9 for the second half?), and you will get a lot more draws for obvious reasons. Think of what happens in a 1-0 win for either team.

They accumulated 12 points this season but the OP's table shows 31 1st half points and 26 2nd half points???

Looking at 1st halves only.

They've been ahead 6 times. 18 points.
They've been level 13 times. 13 points.
They've been behind 20 times.

That's 31 points in the first half table. They may still have ended up losing all those games, giving them 0 points.

Same with second halves.

I'm not going to fact check the entire thing, and that does seem high, but if you lead 1-0 at half time but lose 2-1, you'll get 0 points on the actual league table, but three points in the first half league table. That sort of weird thing will naturally massively overestimate teams that are shit. If you looked at us last season, the number of times we scraped a single goal victory that we had no business doing, we can't win both halves by definition - it's the same thing as what you're seeing with Wednesday, but in reverse

Yes the way it works is they calculate the points accumulated in each half, so for instance take the derby at Lane Wednesday got 0 points from the game, but in that table they would have had 3 second half points but 0 first half, so the figures are correct

We were the better team for the first 54 minutes. It looked like hard work though. I felt it would have to take a monumental effort from almost the entire team for us to score a goal.

Eventually it happened, but then they hit a long punt down the channel and seconds later it was 1-1.

I think that was such a blow to us - after all our dominance, to see them score such an "easy" goal - that we never recovered.

Tactically (not much we could do) , mentally (failing to reset) and physically (energy spent) we came up short. It's not the first time this season.

We have a decent XI, but if we haven't finished off teams by the time we (have to) make our second half substitutions, we struggle.
