First half masterclass but....

We looked like we would score every time we attacked them. It's a shame we took the foot off the gas in the 2nd half as I think we could easily have smashed them. I think we maybe expected a 2nd half onslaught towards the Kop and thats why it went a bit flat.
Also there are still games left to play, carnival time will happen when Chesterfailed roll into town on the final day.

Oh fuck off

I agree. Have (some) people always got to find fucking fault? Today was a fabulous day and performance. Do they think football is all that away from Bramall Lane? If so, maybe you should have gone to West Brom losing (again) at home to Liverpool yesterday with the terminally-tedious Tony Pulis in charge. Crowd? Over 1,000 less than we got today.

All this constant whingeing about 'atmosphere like a morgue' blah, blah is handing shit on a plate to those on Porktalk.

We're coming through 6 years of dross and now is the time to be optimistic. Next season, we'll average 26-27k at home and play the likes of Villa, Sunderland, Wolves etc. It's a GOOD time to be a Blade.

....not from the crowd. POOR!

"It's because we're nervous" they said...

"It'll pick up when the performances pick up...!" They said....

We're champions and winning 3-0 at HT.

Sing up shoreham for christs sake!!!!

Fuckin hell pal don't criticise the fucking folk sat in the library. You'll get pelters.

I agree 100% with the last paragraph.

The penultimate paragraph concerns me not one jot because my views are not conditioned by what the Pigs think, say or do. I never visit Porktalk or any piggy forum. Why would you?

It's a legitimate comment, not high treason, to suggest that our vocal support at home is less than fervent, and today was another such example. It can't be the nerves now, and I'm certainly not happy about reverting from our current sublime football to ragamuffin Upanatem just to raise an extra S2 decibel or two.

So, what do we do?

If only someone else had mentioned this elsewhere? I'm not sure what I would find to concern myself with if people sang more loudly more often. Ever thought they just don't want to? It isn't a law that wankstain bigger blades have passed.

Perhaps you have to pass an entrance exam or seanbeenstattoo pisses down the back of your legs.

Just to rub it in you weren't even there? How the fuck can you think to criticise if you weren't there to lead them home?

It's a great season, it was a great performance now for fucks sake shut up moaning about non issues.

With respect(lol) Who the fuck are you to tell ANYONE to do anything.

So, what do we do?

Im at a loss. Perhaps get the fuck on with living because whatever the problem is it isn't effecting the players. We win, we are champions, we are top of the league, this is as I understand it what matters. When we are under the cosh and need it I guess the crowd will come to the fore.

I think the players would probably say the louder we support them, the better they would like it. It's football, not the opera.

Suspect pig, doesn't go, slags fans off, three pages...

Blades arguing... result for captain negative ...

I'm going on the kop vs Chesterfield, I'm going to scream non stop for 90 minutes like it's a bay city rollers concert.... who's with me..!!!

I was in the middle of the kop, as I am for every game, and it was loud and proud. We generated a ton of noise on our stand, (that is our job, after all) and it was one of the best games in terms of atmosphere all season. I think it's fair to say that Bradford City and their fans are fully aware of Jack O'Connell, and the fact that he has a magic hat.

I was exiled to the outer fringes of the kop today and the noise and atmosphere was fantastic, even the two giggly five year old girls laughing at their gobby dad added to the occasion

And it was like a football match, not like an Opera.

Part of the problem is that the fans who want to sing are mingled in with those who can't or don't want to stand and sing.

It's going around in circles but it would be good if there was a way we could get the right people in the right place. I was in JSS family end, and surrounded by little uns....JOC had to "head the (blank space) back" on numerous occasions.
I felt bad standing up for the champions because the old fella behind me couldn't get up and down so well...
So on balance, we as a club need to get this right. Make the family section for young kids only...make it smaller and open some kind of entertainment zone in the stand for them to retire to if they are bored of the football.

Hull KR have this in their new stand and it's brilliant. Kids all interacting with each other in a safe environment...often while parents watch the game and have a beer or two.

Sort out the KOP asap and get the crap view and awful seating sorted so those wanting to stand/sing/chant/ swear etc etc can do so.
Segregate a portion of the south stand the same, make BLUT a home end permanently and set that up as a smaller KOP.

While I'm sure that the OP is well intentioned, it's a bit rich to criticise the vocal support of the crowd when you're sat at home in your armchair.

I have to say that from Gangway C in the South Stand, the noise levels were excellent and it was great to hear the new 'Jack the Hat' song. What I did notice is that sometimes there can be 3 chants all going at the same time, there was quite a a bit of noise coming from the away ends of the South and John St Stands too.

I would also suggest that perhaps the singing dies down sometimes because most Blades fans are intently watching the game.
