First game this season that we haven't gifted the other team a goal. Step forward Ben Mee, thought he was great today. Gave McGuiness the opportunity to stick to the basics, Tangange's a player and he didn't have to do it all on his own and yes, they had a few bits and pieces but no clear cut chance really. Not sure Burrows knew what he was doing, he didn't look great going forward and his defending is gash so if we're sticking with this formation he needs a lot of work.

First half the midfield was a slight improvement but again, we had two or three players going for the same ball and Oxford came away with it as we all waited for each other. It improved 2nd half and for a spell we looked ok but still work to be done. Decent goal that highlighted how average they were at the back but we were too nervous/negative to really test them as we dropped deeper and deeper till it turned into attack vs defence last 15 minutes.

Still some work to be done, Campbell and Cannon were fucking woeful up front but ey, we don't concede, we don't lose so the clean sheet was very welcome and it gives us something to build on.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

We have bang average players n all so it’s swings and roundabouts

We’ve beaten 2 shyte teams hung on against Leicester and had a good performance against Stoke

We had players out with injury or a bug and players playing with a bug

But Norwich just beaten Southampton we couldn’t beat either

we are still in a relegation battle don’t forget so maybe imo adjust your deluded expectations

We need to have ALL our business done if we are going to be serious about a promotion bid before the first game of the season. The last few years recruitment, let's be honest, has been a joke. Yes we've picked up some good players but at the cost of a poor start or lack of pre season cohesion as a team.
So please United , get the deals done before pre season if possible.
I understand this is not always possible in a World Cup year but we've had months to nail down targets and approach with offers. Let's start a new concept of getting it right.
Wilders excuse depend upon it!!!!

P.s. this week would be nice to bring someone in on a la Wolves and Soton have been able to do.

I'd like to think they've got some quite pre contracts done.......but were SUFC

There appears to be a strong correlation between the pre season and the season.

Last year the pre season was crap and so was the season.

Year before pre season was good and so was the season.

Premier league the pre season was a joke and so was the season.
