...........reserve keeper for Mainz. 24 yrs old, 25 in march. He's represented Germany at all levels from u15's to u21's. He's played 8 times for the 1st team this season and not disgraced himself. His contract is up in the summer and he wants to leave. The lads wants 1st team football and is more than happy to drop down to to german 2nd division to get it.

I think he'd definitely be good enough now as a championship starter, but he's got the potential to be a premier league keeper.

Looks a lot younger than 24 - baby faced assassin!

A good time to dig out the Brexit Work Permit Ready Reckoner. A player from a Bundesliga Club would need to have played at least 30% of games/minutes in the last 12 months to qualify for a UK Work Permit.
It would be impossible for an English Club to sign a rarely used, bit part player from the Bundesliga.

Double impossible with a registration embargo

I’m pretty sure that Finn Dahmen could play in England.

However according to the sky sports reporter who this guy linked in the tweet... Championship clubs are on alert but he wants to stay in Germany

I think you’re right in concentrating on players that will not cost a fee!

He might prefer to stay in Germany over going to the Championship. Premier League might be a different story.
