Final 3rd Quality

May help if we can defend a simple long ball over the top.

Indeed - and it wouldn't have happened if JOC hadn't gone into the middle - strange substitution to me, not one CW has done before - bit like playing Jags at RFB 12 years ago.

Brooks should have buried the cross from the left - fell to his "standing" foot and mistimed it,

Small margins today, but agreed disappointing to give away such a silly goal.

It's a strange one, I would agree that we seem to be quite poor in the final 3rd but when you look at the number of goals Clarke & Sharp have scored, and take a look at that stats that were posted earlier in this thread, then they show that we're amongst the best in the division.

Billy & Leon have missed some real sitters though and I think they could quite easily have had 40 goals between them this season. I think the main concern is the lack of goals from elsewhere.

I really don't get what you guys are seeing. He challenges for every ball in the air, and chases everything (within reason) on the floor. I can't fault his workrate one bit.
He chases everything he thinks he can reasonably get to, whilst it feels strange to say it that’s a real drop in commitment from the start of the season when he chased absolutely EVERYTHING, and I think that has passed slightly into a general lack of energy comparatively. Not slagging him off at all but think he’s definitely dropped his work rate.

Another thing that wouldn't have happened if JOC hadn't have gone into the middle,
he wouldn't be appearing on the right of the 6 yard box to lay the goal on for Leon.
:rolleyes::(

Thought we played well today. Millwall defended well as well to be fair.

Need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot though after we'e worked so hard to get ourselves in front in tight matches. Their goal was excruciating to watch after all that hard work put in.

Still, considering the run Millwall are on, I didn't think they were a patch on Utd. We definately have the better side but we are so naive at times.

That’s arrogant stuff. Stop talking like the Pigs and get cap-doffing Millwall..

Be suprised if he's not in Prem next season

Burnley would be my bet, Nicky Law is there in some coaching capacity and he had him at Alfreton. Flint is a Sean Dyche kind of player as well.

Danny Wilson signed him for Swindon and Bristol I think, he should have carried on and signed him for us when he was here.

We have to invest in this for next season, we have had more possession in the final 3rd than any other team but we seldom profit from it. We only need 2-3 players close season but they have to be the right players, if the board back Wilder and he'll finish the job.

Completely agree - but this depends on the boardroom sorting out whatever drama is going off.

They are idiots if this stops us kicking on. In our first season back we are still in with a shout of the PL with three games left. What more do potential investors/existing board members need as proof of a club with real potential?
