Hi All

I have started up a tumblr blog which aims to store Blades fans' favourite memorabilia and Blades related memories - a sort of online museum of United ephemera. It is early days in terms of posts, but I have already had photos supplied and stories to go with some of them. You can find it here:

Sheffield, the angling capital of the universe and some folk think it's Magnet!! I remember we were singing "A gallon of Maggots" when we were put on the BLLT when the Old John Street was pulled down.

I always thought it was Magnet (after the brew) and thought the general view was that both versions were sung. Perhaps it depended upon whereabouts on the Kop you were.

8 pints is the requisite number to dull the pain of watching the Blades.

If it was Maggots that would be the only thing that couldn't be ingested in the verse.
And before you say it, a night out in Sheffield can be ingested - it's an atmospheric thing that goes into multiple senses.

Good luck eating your bush tucker if you think it's maggots.

I've always thought it was Magnet. Lost all my posts on the Tumblr this morning. Re-building it now.
