This is separate but did anyone see what was kicking off outside Primark 10 mins before KO?

I'd say away fans were most likely involved but also could've been Blades only, about 7-10 were involved. Quite brutal smashing bottles over each others heads and at one point descended into 4 of them kicking 1 lad all at the same time.
It will be them fuckers from TKmax , wait till Burtons get involved.

Ten. So that’s ok then isn’t it.
No its not OK, did I say it was? Why over exaggerate a situation? He got smacked, got up and ran off. Probably sat on train now thinking, wished I hadn't gobbed off or thrown bottles or knocked an old man over or whatever he'd done.

Didn't see that incident Danny but there was a stand on the Moor today in that exact spot "Islam against Extremism" which had a banner up saying something like "Murder, kidnapping and Violence are not permitted in Islam"

Not sure if that had anything to do with it, but I walked past it twice and the 3 muslim chaps manning the stall were getting some real pelters and some heated debate was going on. I don't like to judge on appearance but let's just say there also seemed to be a fair number of EDL wannabe types lurking around too. The whole atmosphere was very tense. Admittedly I didn't get close enough to hear exactly what was being said but it was obvious that some of the locals didn't appreciate their pitch.

i don’t get why they were getting pelters for saying that.. the EDL would have agreed with them? perhaps they were corbynites... they love a murderous terrorist

I saw that stall. Walked past about 2.20pm. There didn't seem any problems. Very relaxed on Moor. The people on the stall seemed to be debating fellow Muslims. I took no notice but I chipped a pound in to a red haired lad that was doing an impressive routine with a football to music who was entertaining everyone. Then had fish chips and curry sauce at Moor fish and chip shop. Bloody amazing. You cannot get decent chips in London. It's all Turkish or whatever. I was asked Chinese or English for the curry sauce. First time I've been asked that. Seriously good though for £6. Didn't see any feyting but was impressed by Southampton's away following. Thought they didn't travel but the away end was full.

I was there a bit later and there were a couple of heated discussions going on, with a few pockets of shaven headed, angry looking blokes standing around watching it all, arms crossed. Like I say, I might have been reading too much into it, but it didn't feel a particularly nice atmosphere.

Glad you enjoyed your day mate. It's alright is the old Moor Fisheries :)

Making their way to the game like I was and I got in the ground just as we kicked off?

Primark is only half way down the Moor so not that far away is it?

Besides have you never known fans to turn up late at football matches?

yes but it says 3pm so im there for 3pm it just punctuality & I have paid £500+ for this , like anything you wouldnt turn up 10 mins late for concert, stand up gig or a movie

Nothing like blowing it up out of all proportion is there ? Wasn't 30-40 at all, more like 10!! And yes I did see it.
Then you may have seen the first incident but maybe not the next round the corner from John Street. Oh and ten is ok them???

Nah it was edl tommy wannabes, hard in a group that lot so long as those theyre targeting are smaller in number.

I saw that, it was the fallout from the first incident where they were chased down John street by a mob of blades fans.

Shameful comment. Anyone throwing a punch over football (home or away) should be ashamed. We've moved on a bit since the 1980s.
This. It is not 1985 anymore. Nobody should take any "pride" in the activities of a bunch of wankers who want to have a fight over football.

Just bumped into that #FLA mob in Dempseys.
Legged it sharpish when it got too tasty.
Watch yer back Blades, these hoodlums are out to cause chaos.

Which is odd considering they were ‘against extremism’ isn’t it?

I was probably one the last out of the ground today. Walked up John St, saw an old fella sat on a chair on pavement outside the main corporate entrance to John St. 2 paramedics and a couple of coppers with him, he looked ok and was very chatty. Is that the incident being discussed? I assumed he just had a turn or a fall as there wasn't any signs of bother or tension around. Just goes to show that it can kick off but depends if you're in the wrong place at wrong time and all that. Didn't realize anything had gone off today and we were saying that we'd not seen any issues today compared with Leicester, where it was getting a bit naughty before game on corner of John St/BL

When Southampton came to our place 5 years ago there was loads of fighting after the game on the Bramall Lane end. Seem to remember it spilling all the way out to Decathlon car park. I went to watch with a girl that night & was in the corner Stand, I remember she was really frightened.

Remember it well, Blades starting on shirters and young lads and ended up getting twatted all over the place.

That's where it happened Jolly, so that will be old fella, bless him 😔

You could be right but I didn't see the build up or anything. All I saw was a group of about 20 young(ish) Southampton fans charging around the place shouting "Saints, stick together." They were throwing punches indiscriminately at Blades fans & I locked eyes with one of the gobbiest twats which had me worried in case he attacked me whilst I was with the girl. Luckily he thought better of it & ran after his mates towards the Cricketers.

I then passed some of the same group of Saints fans again running away from Decathlon car park where there had clearly been some sort of kick off.

Football violence is completely retarded. Especially in this day & age. Embarrassing stuff.

Assuming it all happened after I'd gone, as I was in all of the places mentioned, but saw nothing.

it was my old man that got caught up in the fracas, he's a bit scuffed and shaken this evening but fine, was well looked after by the medical and security staff and a bit embarrassed that he needed taking care of, ....does very well for 87 and he'll be there next week for the Sunderland game, thanks for all the well wishes!
