You shouldn't have to be a journalist to understand that it takes two to tango. Most of the clubs in this division have a hooligan element. They are all capable of starting something and our lot are almost always willing to oblige. People are acting as if this is something new, it's not, it's been going on for 50 years now. I find all the hooliganism, reaction of shock and horror, press outrage and so on all a bit tiresome now if I'm being honest, it bores me to fucking death. The overreaction of the press and the police doesn't help either, and neither do the club with the ST checks in H block and telling everyone to stop swearing ffs. The behaviour of the police on derby day was just as bad as any hooliganism I've witnessed in recent years so they can fuck off too.

Just a bit of a ramble that with a few thoughts.

I don’t think as a sport football is far off the residual proportion of tossers you get in any walk of life. Stick 20,000 people anywhere for an event and you’ll always get 50 people too pissed or causing trouble.

The letter is a joke as well. No swearing in South Stand - most of it over the years has been directed at our players and managers! What next, no biftas at the back of the Kop?!?! World’s gone mad!

A bit like the reporting on Derby day where it was all about Unitedites on London Rd causing trouble or Unitedites on the tram causing trouble.
Nothing at all about hundreds of pig fans on Hillsborough corner, people might want to go to the Stars facebook page and check out the video's section in particular the video named "A walk through Hillsborough on Derby day" gives a bit of understanding as to why Blades fans trams were stopped outside Hillsborough causing hundreds to miss a lot of the first half. Also shows how SYP had little or no control over a situation where a tram full of people was being pelted by anything they could lay their trotters on.

It's a shame that the move to block all URL's from the Star was never implemented, despite a favourable vote of over 2/1 from this forum.

The Star understands South Yorks Police (Gestapo and Lies Unit) are investigating two more Sheffield United troublemakers after the recent Steel City Derby.

Both were said to be inviting trouble by posting "likes" on Twitter, in contravention of Section 3 (make it up as we go along wearing riot gear powers ) as invented on by Chief Superintendent Moron when his plans fell to bits on the day.

The Star publishes below photos of said troublemakers






The Chief Superintendent wasn't available for comment but sent us photos of himself smiling in both full dress uniform AND combat gear for our archives.
