Well for arguments sake lets say Ched leaves but no-one else does (therefore together with Hendo removing £2m per year off the wage bill) but we don't sign anyone, do you think we'll have half a chance with this line-up?

Surely Liam, Willo has proved hugely ineffective on the right of midfield. When fully fit he is a fine central midfielder. It really is time for us to stop making decent players look poor by playing them out of position especially when the only reason is to accomodate a ludicrously overpaid liability who ought to be moved on immediately.

Willo and D-Mac would form one of the better pairings in our league. DW needs to be ruthless. He must make footballing decisions not ones based on parochial favouritism.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think its good enough, certainly there's no depth but my point is:

If we sell Monty, we'll get someone inferior in his place
If we sell Quinny, we'll get someone inferior in his place
If we sell Willo, we'll get someone inferior in his place........
etc......

So, from a purely footballing front, the best thing may be people not buying our players, even though this would not be good from a financial point of view, and I'm certain DW would want to wheel & deal a bit.
Just another opinion. I personally would like to see a few go (Simmo, Collins, Doyle, Yeates, Cresswell) and a few come in (2 x winger, 1 x left back & 1 x centre half)

This is certainly true, but Willo is more fragile than a new born fawn. When fit he's quality, but when has he been fully fit and on his best form? Ten matches since he signed? He's played 36-ish matches for us in two seasons. Not dependable enough.

To rely on his fitness would be a huge gamble at long odds. I'd rather bet on Ched being the league's top scorer, and that's never going to happen either.

Yeates, Doyle, McAllister, A N Other (maybe this guy from Falkirk, maybe Philliskirk or Tonne)

Here's hoping Doyle shows the form when he was last in this division with Leeds. 2nd chance for me this season, him and Monty was never going to work last season and it's clear everything wasn't well in the dressing room etc, clean slate time.
