Sneaked on here as I'm knackered and wanted to see the posts about yesterday, primarily.
FFS SO depressing.
Making me look like the happy clapper FFS.
Yes I'm the supreme optimist but FFS, get some realism.
Can't win five..
All too good for us anyway.
FFS - we keep a clean sheet every other game basically.
FFS - we score basically every game when McBurnie is not around and he is not around for this season, hopefully.
We have the defence based on what is best for the style of play but have a top international defender and a player most of you wanted Wilder to get yet another £10 million on as backup on the bench. Cover at full backs.
We don't HAVE to win five. Huddersfield got promoted without winning ONE game of the three playoffs
We don't have McBurnie to miss his penalty in any key moments.
We have lost just twice to the other top six teams.
Once in the last minute when desperate to get a winner and pre three centre backs and once to a team with a penalty for a foul miles outside the box. (yes Bournemouth DO seem to get endless dodgy decisions but they won't be involved surely)
We could be playing Huddersfield to get to Wembley.
Are they REALLY that good?
We could be playing Luton at Wembley - they can beat Forest and Forest can tire playing twice as many games.
We aren't there yet but FFS we probably won't be if this endless none support continues.
FFS put some vocal effort in and help the team instead of endless moaning and misery.

That assessment sounds about right.

Surely 6th place is the best spot to hit after a shit start to the season? Free hit at the play offs

Forest have more games and are now without that big number 9 loanee - our promotion is assured
They are certainly weaker than when we played them with Max Lowe also out though Grabban is back. Whilst Colback is steady, he isn't going to be hitting the byline or progressing down the pitch the same way.

Peterborough, let's remember the bottom team, gave as good as they got, as many shots on goal, similar possession stats.

7 out 8 is excellent form in anyone's book but that one draw was grubbed against a team with 11 men missing.

We have as much chance as them IF we make it there.

But like anything, all this talk is academic if we don't do the business ourselves. Friday would be a huge marker if we could win.

Yes Blade we do have too many negative fans ( maybe our history of not winning anything for 100 years breeds them).
You are spot on with your assessment of this season!
No Serb and a decent run without injuries would have taken this team to the brink of automatic ! with play offs a done deal.
Hecki has done a great job the Prince will regret not giving him the job in August. He's taken on the job of pulling together a squad which came down without much of a fight ( demoralised squad ).
Serb comes in and does even more damage changing to a style foreign to us with no real pre -season to bed it in. (professional suicide in my opinion).
We didn't have the players to play his way (the prince pre-season said we would be sticking with the 3 stroke 5 at the back he!!(serb)
Comes in and compounds the lack of confidence of the team .
Hecki came in and got a tune from the inherited squad instantly.
Unfortunatey we have had a bad run of injuries and a period where covid stepped in and we lost our momentum.
Come on Blades 2 games to go! I no for a fact we'll be up for the Fulham game if it comes down to it,we really ( as fans) love the underdog situation and against Fulham we will be
underdogs go for it fellow Blades.
