Collins - An everpresent in a spectacular side last season. Cruelly dropped due to a couple of bad displays and replaced in favour of a signed-on-the-cheap journeyman defender who has gone on to be a regular in a side that frequently haemorrhages goals.

Campbell-Ryce - Sometimes a bit 'speedboat, no driver' but still a contributary part to our limited successes this season. Has a couple of bad games and is shipped out and probably feels like a lepper now.

Coutts - A slow but tidy player who will come good, but is painfully out of form but to worsen matters is being played and out of position where we need pace.

McNulty - Had a bad game midweek and was unprofessionally singled out by his gaffer in the media (again) as being partly responsible for a defeat

Done - Being an exciting, attacking player who is being forced to play with his back to goal, feeding off scrappy hoofballs from the fullbacks and chasing down dead balls. Not long before we yet again suck the mojo out of another, proven, goalscorer with our negative slop. How long before the grumbles of discontent are aimed at him?

Murphy - All that pressure to create goals and score them resting on your shoulders.

That is absolutely spot on mate - agree with every single word you say .. Great post

Collins is one of the highest earners at the club and probably has a considerable appearance fee, hence why he is not getting a look in. McNulty has been treated so poorly and if he was a bit older I reckon he would have handed in a transfer request about now.

...the fans?

The atmosphere today was thoroughly depressing. Nothing to get the fans going nor could we muster enough strength to grumble. For the first time in my life I didn't cheer a Sheffield United goal. I doubt I would've celebrated an equaliser either. What a shit week.
