If, last season, we had gone to a newly promoted sides ground and time wasted with 2/3's of the game to go I would have been slightly embarrassed to celebrate what is a good away victory. Norwich reminded me a lot of us under Clough, doing just about enough to hold on and see out a win but against better quality in the division they will come unstuck.

I thought that given the circumstances (weak ref & officials, antagonising tactics + a striker plague) we did well enough to deserve at least a point and I choose to focus on that instead of a sucker punch defeat.

I see your point, but i think at times you need to play the way to get a result. As i said before, they were not what i expected and if we had a fully fit strike force, they would be moaning about how poor they were. The early goal was just what they needed. Had we scored early it would've been a very different game, like Brentford.

Confident we would have won with a full strike force but ignoring the time wasting, they deserve credit for doing a job on us.

They've started the season poorly by their expectations and conceded too many. Hence back to basics and a performance to stop the rot. They stifled us and closed down very well from the middle third backwards exceptionally well.

As much as I was annoyed at some stuff yesterday I've also found the reaction from some of our fans completely OTT and real sour grapes.

They pushed boundaries but if people haven't seen very similar performances regularly over the years, including from ourselves, i dont know what they've been watching.

Take it on the chin and move on. We still look in good shape to me against expectations. Everyone knows where we need strengthening moving forward over the next 18 months, no-one more than Wilder.

Instead of whingeing endlessly we should take yesterday as a compliment and be pleased how far we've come in 12 months with spending little in relative terms.

And as Norwich made such a success of it, get ready for other clubs coming to BDTBL and doing exactly the same thing.

They were frightened to death to play at our pace. That's the reason they kept breaking the game up with time wasting and feigning injury. Wouldn't like to watch that every week. Poor team!!

That's the reason Norwich won. They didn't underestimate us like the rest we've played this season and did a Walsall on us. Quite a few more will come unstuck at the Lane this year as they're too arrogant to have the same mindset (hopefully).

It's nice to not play that way isn't it?

To set out to play that way with players earning Millions a year must be really depresssing.

I thought they broke with pace when they actually broke but pace was sadly lacking from us.

Agree about watching that crap every away game.
