We play Scunny and Bolton in February in back-to-back home games (18th and 25th respectively).

The table may well read differently by then, of course, but personally I do only see the three of us slogging it out for the top two.

I might be getting ahead of myself here, but I find it encouraging that we have the opportunity to make sure that those six points up for grabs count, and will go a long way to securing the title.

If we can be in 2nd place (at least) going into those two games, I'm confident we can go on and win the league.

Then again, I am a Blade, therefore my gut instinct is that we'll go and royally balls it up when it matters :D

Thoughts?

Feb is tough month!!

Can we get December and January out of the way first ? ;)

Seriously, I'll be making the trip for both of these games. I think it'll be Bolton and us for the automatic places.

It's United we're talking about, so of course we're bound to fuck it up at some point. Either that or we'll get over 90 points again and it won't be enough for the top 2.

Peterborough away in Feb and Rochdale away first game in March as well so a very tough period. Can't afford to drop too many points from now on, unless others around us do, obviously!

I'd love to see the United box office pull out something to encourage big, big crowds for these two. Just a month and half after Christmas, offering a good deal (maybe £25 for tickets for both games or £10 for each) to get over 25,000 in the ground would be a good idea. An almost full Bramall Lane would make it intimidating as hell for the pair of them.

No need to reduce prices 25 k at both come what may .and we need to pay the new strikers wages

Lots of water to flow under the bridge and a transfer window to negotiate before then.

I hope you're right Wombwell.

Just a thought though, I would imagine that both Scunny and Bolton will bring big followings as well so such a full stadium and big atmosphere could well inspire them just as much as us?

Either way, I would much rather a packed house and rocking atmosphere!
