Men are as bad.

I've never investigated it but I bet 90% of men have tall and athletic on their dating profiles.

When you've got Oddjob from the Bond movies putting that description, you know something is amiss!
I wonder what Mark the Pitsmoor Armed Robber's dating profiles said, after all he's had at least two women...

To be fair, the bloke who played Oddjob was an Olympic weightlifter.

Also, he was 5'10. I blame the game version of Goldeneye for spreading misinformation about him - clearly the developers confused him with Nick Nack from The Man With The Golden Gun.

I don't think Peck developed that much overall. He's got enthusiasm and energy but his passing is very hit and miss and positionally he's all over the place. He reminds me of kids starting out in football where they go wherever the ball goes whether their team is in possession or their opponents. One game he was good, the next two to three he was average to poor and rarely played well in two matches back to back. If it wasn't for Arblaster getting injured he'd have barely got minutes off the bench. I like him, he's okay, but I think like with Wilder some of our fans focus on the badge thumping instead of the actual football.

Sometimes I despair of my fellow Blades.

In his first full season and his first at this level, this lad had to cope with ever changing midfield partners and rarely plyed in a settled set up.

Still, you think 'he's okay', so that's alright then.

I think he's okay, not amazing, not the best midfielder at the club or best midfielder in the Championship. He's an okay player. He's done well and has potential but I'm not going to exaggerate how good he was when I don't think he was that amazing overall.

I'm judging him on how he played, not on what else was going on. The situations you mentioned certainly had some significance but I still wouldn't have rated him 8/10 every game. He was more often 5/10 or 6/10 in the majority, hence he was okay. He had some 8/10 games here and there but not consistently. Sorry.

It's just my opinion.

I'm not one these people who give a striker 8/10 just because they scored a goal if they were not involved and ineffective for the whole match. That drives me as mad as what I've said drives you mad. I'm not saying you're like it but I hate this good/crap spectrum that fans associate with players. What do players have to be one or the other, and we can't acknowledge that some players can be somewhere in the middle?

But he wasn’t appointed to seek players out for top level championship football
