Fastest Debut goal ever?

Hoskins scored on Saturday within 5 minutes of starting his United career. Has anyone ever scored a faster debut goal? I can't think of anyone.

The legendary John Gannon came on quite late in the game as a sub against Blackpool (25 Feb 1989) and scored. It was his first appearance for the Blades.
I'm not sure how long he'd been on the field though.

Oh yes, that would certainly be a contender, but I have a feeling Gannon came on with about 10 mins left and scored in the last minute.

Can't remember if Hodges scored on his debut

He didn't. His debut was at Man City in a 0-2 defeat on 19/1/91. He got his first goal the following Saturday v Derby at the Lane - the last minute winner in a 1-0 victory.

I seem to recall an early Willie Falconer goal on his debut against Swindon in 1993. Don't recall how early though.

There was Arturo Lupoli who scored in the 5th minute against the pigs at the lane on the 07/02/09. So that was in the 5th minute and he had only joined the club a few days prior to that game if i am not mistaken?? that must be equal to hoskins and would have to go down to seconds to determine the quickest between the two.

Yes, New's Years Day 1983 - a header at the far post - I remember it well.

Doesn't count as a debut though

Pretty certain that was around the 9 minute mark. I thought about the goal myself, but as was the 9th minute.... didn't post.

He was signed on Xmas Eve or Day so the newspapers didnt have a chance to report his signing and my dad remembers Pace's debut which was a home game. before the start of the match a lot of Blades fans were asking "who is that wearing our number 9?"

John Tudor scored 2 68/69 season on debut at Bury , not sure about the goal times but remember as a young-un going on a football special and making hell of a row in a wood/tin stand .
