Farewell 2019

What a year to be a Blade. Been at it a long time now and have lived the few and far between glory days as well as suffering the all too often years of crap but I have never seen anything like this side in 2019. It's been brilliant to watch, sensational stuff, truely magnificent. IMO it's the best ever year to be a Blade.

If 2020 is half as good we are going to be entertained.

To all those who have witnessed this and to all those absent Blades who sadly aren't with us anymore I raise a glass to you all.

I mean the game itself.
Team was better than today, with two international class players in the ranks.
Imagine how good Wilders team would be if there were two decent strikers up front.

These are the proudest, most unbelievable times to be a Blade and I couldn't be more grateful to be witnessing every second.

I posted last week about my 95 year old nan and she said Currie was the greatest ever to pull on a red and white shirt but he would not get in this side. This side is a machine and doesn't do individuals, it is seriously out of this world, how Wilder has pieced it together is up there with Edison and the light bulb.

Football and enjoyment cannot have been better at the Lane ever regardless of age/era.

Whilst I agree every year for me has been great to be a Blade, just love my club irrespective of where we are.

Enjoy the memories. We could go through January without a single point.
However, we'll bounce back strongly in February with 4 wins on the trot.

I reluctantly disagree. I loved the Woody/Currie era and think there were more individually talented players in that side. But this is a better “team” playing better football, against better quality opposition.
