Ok, it's working at the moment but I don't think we can sustain a full season bypassing the midfield.

Speed has been the worst midfielder for the past few weeks.

We lost and still won, sign of a good team. Ifs and butts about donny's strikeforce, they didn't take chances, we did and won. 2 wins on the bounce, stop moaning and start supporting your club.

We must not have had a midfield then. Amount of stray passes speed has made and amount of times he has given the ball away outnumbers most of the team.

Monty was better than him at norwich

Lol...even if Speed had a not so good match....he is still one of the best midfielders (I think the best) we have. All the younger midfielders are coached by Speed, he is so (too) important for our team.

I think I'd agree that Speed makes more than his fair share of misplaced passed for the team. However, the balls he tries to play are generally of a harder nature than the rest of the team. ie trying to create us something.

I don't dispute this, I also don't dispute this for previous games too. But it's the way we play when Monty is in the team that bothers me.

Defensive wise we are good with Monty. But attacking wise, unless Monty wins the ball, we are effectively playing with 3 in the midfield, because others don't want to pass to him it seems.

But he's not creating anything, only giving the ball away allowing the opposition to attack. Do the basics first before all the harder nature balls. We have a struggling midfield as it is.

We dont work with speed and monty as the are both DM. Playing monty with squinny will allow us that attacking option but also defensive. With speed and monty we just defensive and looking for the long ball.

Totally agree with that Robbie. I had a bit of a rant about it a week or so ago here but I don't think many people read it* as the thread got hijacked by the same old BeightonBlade baiting and retaliating!
