Really good podcast that, cheers for sharing it. It’s interesting that we see him interviewed fairly rarely and then he just pops up on something like this for 45mins to talk about one of his key hobbies in depth.
I knew he’d looked at Leeds before getting involved with us, not sure I knew he was also close to buying QPR and Cardiff too. Also didn’t know he followed the Hoddle-era Spurs when growing up. Hilarious to hear he he had asked for tips from Wilder on likely players to put in at the start of the season, was suggested 4 players including advanced notice on Lundstram, and he didn’t think Lundstram would stay in.
Some minor other snippets of interest. Eg. Jan Van Winckel is “very conservative” and helps calm him down too apparently. Also used to outright refuse to pick Danny Ings, but nowadays is more pragmatic. Also talks of his friendship with FPL expert “Iceman”.
