I was one of Wilders biggest fans and advocates for his return of which i was greatly lambasted and I still am but I am becoming increasingly baffled by his decisions on who to play and where he plays them culminating in him royally sharting the bed playing a team who may have more possession than us and a couple of decent forwards 🤷‍♂️

Myself a UEFA A license holder and worker in the industry for 20 years has a vast tactical knowledge base so his decisions are increasingly becoming more and more baffling

First of all, it has been a great start defensively-wise against what has been a favourable fixture list over the first 10 games we are slightly in a false position the people saying we would romp the league are very high on deludamol like friends over in S6

My first gripe was Friday night as soon as I saw that line up I could have easily not bothered watching, that could be one of the stupidest lineups I’ve ever seen it’s up there with Pep Guardiola dropping Rodri for a Champions League final

My second one is that he has chucked our best player and arguably the best in the league out on the left wing, Hamer has been poor for a few games and below average all season his goals have masked up his average performances because he is that good he will still score. You surely either play him as a 10 or in CM. Centre mid by the way is where he played for Coventry but it seems we don’t think he can fulfil that position

Thirdly - The insistence to start and play his favourites Callum Ohare and Kieffer Moore every minute over players like Campbell/Brewster/Brooks even Seriki who has looked our best Right back IMO has had barely any minutes unless we are chasing a game

Ohare has been bang average for a while ever since he filmed that viral tik tok it seems the lads confidence has been knocked maybe 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

My lineup would be and the correct line up is

———- COOPER——-

—-SERIKI—SOUTTAR—ANEL—BURROWS

——HAMER—-SOUZA—-BLASTER—

——-RAK SAK —- MOORE —-BREWSTER—

Taking this at face value as a standalone post it’s hard to disagree with any of these points. I’d like to see someone else start up top over Moore other than this I’d go with the team (minus Souza for Boro).

“correct “ ?! I don’t think your background gives you that much power !!
So you would play Moore rather than Campbell ?

Mad how many people on here and twitter are questioning a manager with 1 defeat in 10 games.

He accepted he got it wrong in the post-match interview.
Which interview was that?
I just watched the one on YouTube and he came close to saying that, but didn't.
Seemed to place more emphasis on poor decision-making by the players...

It's not to say Moore or Ohare arent good players, at this level, they are very good signings but you cannot play them every second esepcially when you have very good alternatives at this level

Once again you are allowed to question someone who is doing well.

Do you reckon wilder and Knill go we have had a good start so nothing needs changing

As my good friend Nigel Adkins said the biggest room in your house should be the room for improvement

Agree on the o’hare and Hamer points, not sure we have anyone better than Moore to replace him with although I wouldn’t Brewster staring in his place

Your A licence ended up in the Bin when you said Campbell

This was NOT the 'most stupidest line-ups ever'.

The winner there was Wilder's decision last season to play a back four against Arsenal at the Lane based on the opinion that it had worked well a few weeks earlier against Liverpool (a game we lost).

Austin Trusty is still seeing a therapist following that Arsenal game.

I just watched the one on YouTube and he came close to saying that, but didn't
You're right.
He said something along the lines of - "of course the change in tactics will be questioned."
Then rightly so says - the first goal comes from switching off, not tactics.

Personally, I’m delighted by this thread. Because none of the points raised by the OP have been covered in any of the other 50 threads about Friday night. Not one.

And that’s a Fallowfield Fact.

Ah the ever successful Left Winger Brewster will send us to the promised land.

Fuck off Fallowfield for once.
