I am as disappointed as everyone else that we haven’t got someone like Di Matteo as manager however if you look at the cold hard facts and remove the emotion then you will understand.

  1. we have no money
  2. we are in div 3
  3. we have the most fickle fans in the country

do most of you still think we are a premiership club ?

we are Sheffield United and you should all be used to disappointment ! that is what we get on a regular basis.

It is done now and taking your shoes off in the car park will only give you mucky socks and will not make a blind bit of difference, i for one am willing to give him a chance and accept that i will be disappointed again but then hey I’m a blade and that is what i am used to, remember UTB FTP

Remind me who told us that RDM applied for the job,

he should have kept his mouth firmly shut

I stopped reading at point 3.

Why even mention DiMatteo? we obviously weren't going to get him. It's like McCabe was winding us up deliberately.

McCabe has plenty of money.

Why should we expect he spends it all on us though? This is the one point that always gets me. Just because the figure head of a club has cash worth x-amount the fans and media both expect it all to get poured into the club. Yes, a lucky few like Chelsea and Man City get this - but for the vast majority the clubs have to be run as a business. Obviously ours hasn't been run at all like it should've been, but why should McCabe do anything more than prop up his asset so it survives on its own 2 feet? Success doesn't breed profit any more, it brings larger income and even greater outgoings.

In the cold light of day, all any owner is bothered about is making sure the business is viable. Yes it would be nice if more funds were available for players, but surely the point is that these funds are generated by the club as a business.

Spending money comes with the territory if you are a football club owner. McCabe certainly doesn't do or add anything else to the club. He lost interest years ago & should fuck off.
