Coventry are at home to Arlsely Town , no never ever heard of them , no idea where Arlsely is, other than darn sarf
Metropolitan Police have got Crawley. cant wait
Any news on whether kick off is going to be moved for TV coverage? Will play havoc with travel arrangements for many if they do (although won't affect my 20 minute bus journey - but could make a mess of baby-sitting arrangements).
I went to Eastville in the late 70's during the Sabella era. I think it ended 0-0 but I remember it was bloody freezing on that big open terrace. Blades fans were setting fire to scrunched up newspapers and huddling round the flames to keep warm.
My only trip to Brizzle Roverzz was to Eastville, must have been about '82ish and some delightful locals were stood on the overpass behind the away terrace chucking stuff at us. Can't remember the score but I do remember the whole experience being a bit surreal, the burnt out stand on the right and the home fans seemed miles away at because of the oval ground and dog track.
I'm pretty sure the burnt out stand was to the left if looking at the pitch from the away end (the one with the M32 virtually overhead). The stand to the right was quite old and had probably seen better days, but it wasn't burnt out!![]()
We lost all 3 games ar BR in the late 70's:
14/5/77 1-3 (Woodward)
8/4/78 1-4 (Calvert)
25/11/78 1-2 (Finnieston)
When you think about it, there's some right dumps in this country. makes you appreciate sheffield a bit more i suppose. i always think sheffield is a dump, til i go to manchester, newcastle, oldham, etc etc etc. even rotherham is less worse than most places i've been to in this great country of ours. We have it pretty good in south yorkshire to be honest. Even though the southerners think we all have ferrets down our trousers.

Probably the one in November '78 then I would have thought. Shows how the memory fades. I could have sworn it was 0-0 but the more I think about it, the more Finnieston scoring rings a bell. Bloody freezing for November though.
Nope, the TV games haven't been announced yet.
Is there definitely going to be one of these matches moved for TV? They have Man Utd v Arsenal (12.45pm) and Bolton v Cardiff (5.20pm) already, so surely if they want an FA Cup match, it will be 3pm?

Did we draw 0-0 with BR at home in the late 70's/early 80's? May be getting my scores mixed up cos that was the first time I ever stood on the Bramall Lane end away terrace. Me and a mate wanted to see what it was like and we picked BR cos we thought there was minimal chance of us getting our heads kicked in.I remember being stood next to an old guy in a flat cap, who looked about 80 and being quite impressed that someone of his age had travelled all that way to see his team. In my head, that game finished either 0-0 or 1-1.
