Anybody but Fleetwood !!

(and a straight red for Foxy for using the 'banana' quote )

The bloke on radio Sheffield said as he was building up the pigs match v morecombe:

" and Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to avoid a giant killing tomorrow"

There are no giant killings in the 1st round of the fa cup!

I wouldnt be that suprised if Morecambe beat the pigs.

Morecombe - never been, and it means they'd stuffed the pigs

If think you'd have heard the uproar if the FA Cup was regionalised or seeded! Though I believe it was mooted at some point last year, by twats.

I can see the sense in no Final replay (although to be fair I can't really remember when there was, which might have coloured my judgement). What annoys me is the lack of Semi Final replay, and the fact that they are all at Wembley!

I was lucky enough to be at the Brighton Man Utd final which ended 2-2 , it deserved a replay , yes it was an anti climax
but the finals that have gone straight to penalties to me lack the grandeur and respect , most noticeably west ham 3 liverpool 3 , that warranted a replay , not the sordid penalty shoot out that ensued

Me and my mates asked the question , name the last 3 winners of the FA cup yesterday. None of us could ,whereas you could probably name every winner from 1970 - 1990. I think its because the semis are at Wembley and the final is now no longer a unique day in the football calender.I would rather see us play a semi at Old Trafford , Villa Park or the Emirates oe even the Millennium than Wembley although actually I would be happy to see us win a semi at The DVS.

Meeting the players, Cup Final 'It's A Knockout', those were the days :)

Unfortunately, the FA Cup final is just another game for the top half of the Prem and I can't see it returning to anything like what it was. Even International games these days have been pushed down the pecking order by the Champions League, 'reality shows' and twitter !

In those days, you didn't see 'live' games unless you actually went. A friend of mine has 'seen' every Man U game for 10 years without seting foot in a single ground which says it all.
