That's 4 out of 4 this season. Is that a record?

What will be a record is our away wins in the cup outnumering our away wins in the league, which is starting to look rather likely!

I think it's safe to say this is a nailed on certainty. Chances of us winning 3 of our remaining away matches just to match the cup wins is unlikely, let alone 4 to overtake them!

Olly, don't spoil the illusion

Terribly sorry...

Some of the chants last night, I couldn't quite tell if the instigators were being amusingly ironic or showing an equally funny lack of self-awareness - "That's why you're going down", for example. I think and hope the former!

That's ok mate.....

I watched the game on TV, didn't catch all the chants but heard the united contingent throughout the match.
Fulham look a cert for relegation on that showing, lots of highly paid players who couldn't figure a way of dismantling a team two divisions below them. Mind you, we were well organised for 120 minutes, which begs the question why only in cup games?

Well if you dont know what chance have we got?!!

Clough alluded to the difference in approach to the cup games and league games, no matter how dire Fulham were they still have more quality than us which meant that we could be an organised defensive unit and counter attack. We can't do that in the league, we have to go at teams, and press higher up the pitch.

I watched the new forward Fulham have just bought, £11 million I think. Apart from freezing his nuts off as he watched us, he must be wondering which division he'll be playing in next season? Fulham have a few players I rate, but last night they just didn't compete. If I were Rene Meulensteen I'd be laying down a few home truths for these so-called big hitters, trouble is it's his job on the line, while they'll pick up appoximately £40K a week in some cases long after he's been replaced. It was only the absence of a decent attacking threat that meant we didn't capitilize on the chances created. The better team won last night, that's all that matters. We rode our luck on a couple of occasions, but then so did Fulham, and they were the home team, with a supposedly superior team who were meant to take us apart. What couldn't Clough do with £11 million? UTB

They would have had more luck playing two up front I think. Fulham could be in a lot of trouble if they go down with the money they've spent.

I imagine Clough would spend £3m inc. wages and collect interest from the rest, he seems like a sensible guy.

Our FA Cup prize money so far for the 4 rounds is £202.5k.

There is another £180k if we win the 5th round tie.

This doesn't include any TV fees by the way.

We must be able to afford a striker now surely ............................................

Probably just paying up David Weir's contract. ;)
