Not sure Coulibaly is ready to face Spurs. Agree we should prioritize Blackburn, and not risk any daft injuries or red cards. Hopefully we'll still give them a game.

Potential for 30 mins extra time then pens isn't good (but better than a replay). The game could potentially finish after 10.30pm.

clark not being in the 18 yesterday tells me he will be centre back on wednesday anel and jack either side of him in any case its a free hit for us were not expected to win but it wouldnt suprise me if its a lot closer game than the pundits are predicting

It's a tough choice regarding strength of team.
I know the fans aren't convinced until Promotion is certain, but the players must feel they've done enough Championship slogging - battled off Wrexham and deserve a shot at Spurs to get into the QFs - live around the world, a chance to go toe-to-toe with a PL Team - they will all be chomping to get out there.
This isn't a Championship side where a weakened team might lose 2-0, so how would the players feel after their great season performance, the reward is to sit on the bench and watch the 'youth team' get hammered 8-0.
We could play a weak team and get battered, then play our best 11 at Blackburn and still lose.
Hecky knows the team, the attitude and will make the decision - it's a tough choice.

His key objective should be to win promotion.
I don’t necessarily disagree but seen as though we can neither guarantee promotion or a win in midweek then he needs to concentrate on midweek first, I’m not buying a ticket against Spurs to watch us get embarrassed, let’s take it to the negative twats and get to the semis.

For me it's a chance for the likes of Jebbo to get game time. Also Anel to play as he sits out the next two following this anyway. Fleck to get more minutes, Coulibaly to get some minutes as well as McAtee and Doyle. Davies also needs time to keep sharp. The rest depend on how fit they are and the vital game against Blackburn. I will be hoping for a win but the chances are low and the league has to be the priority. By playing some that don't get as many minutes it gives us more sharp cover for the run in should we lose other players.

Spurs aren't cloggers so hopefully injury risk is as low as you get in any football match. They also play football and we aren't going to go out and try and stifle them so let's just play a football team.

I'd play Bogle, Berge, Norwood, McAtee, Ndiaye, McB Jebbo and let's try and match them in the footballing stakes. Dont run ourselves into the ground defensively in midfield to save our legs and see what happens.

If it doesn't work then it doesn't work but it might just work. We've done well v Spurs ar home before in both league and Cup games so you never know.

That mardy arse from Brazil they've got up top can be a dirty sod

Nothing but a comfortable 2 nil win for the Blades will do.

Hecky's key objective for Spurs is to ensure that his best side are not tired on Saturday at Ewood
It is a no brainer to utilise all 5 subs. Start with the strongest available and use subs to protect players , give others game time and hold or chase depending on the score. This really is the perfect opportunity to show off his incredible in game management skills.

I think spurs will play a weakend side , there priority is getting CL football next year and next week they have a CL game to also concentrate on

yes i do as well think kane and romero will definetly be on the bench along with maybe a couple more and think hecky will probably do the same ticket sales suprisingly good if you can trust our ticket planner site lol looking like only about 500 left although reckon weve only got about 24k for sale

I can't see them risking Romero or Kane for this one - Sanchez and Son will come in for those two.
Reckon Spurs will go for the jugular in the first half and will hope to have a lead good enough
to replace the BIGGER names and see out a victory. If there was one change to the THFC line-up,
i'd not play Fraser Forster, maybe Whiteman.

Judging by the last few games they have played I think Spurs will start with something along the lines of,
Forster
Sessegnon - Tanganga - Sanchez - Doherty.
Moura - Bissouma - Sarr - Perisic.
Danjuma - Son

Which is still a decent side but one we shouldn’t be fearing.

Doherty is no longer there, that's a strong team, maybe they'll forget he's gone and start with 10 men 😉

As mentioned above, Doherty plays for Atletico Madrid and Bissouma is injured and out for another 5-6 weeks.

I didn’t realise Bissouma was injured, I knew Doherty had gone, I meant to put Davies in as above, you’re probably going to have to go with Hojbjerg in there then?

Edit: just seen Sessegnon is out injured too so you might have to field a stronger team than ideal for yourselves?

Hope so. It is our only chance of a trophy.
